Xbox One Exclusive Sunset Overdrive Sells 230K Units Opening Week - News

Insomniac Games comedy third-person shooter Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive has been a hit with critics and gamers. It has a metacritic score of 82 based on 74 reviews from critics.

Sunset Overdrive debuted at the top of the VGChartz Global Weekly Chart. The game has sold 229,739 units worldwide in its opening week. The game has managed to sell 138,240 units in the US, 58,755 units in Europe, and 3,308 units in Japan. Breaking down Europe sales, the game sold 27,115 units in the UK, 6,995 units in France and 6,411 units in Germany.

Sunset Overdrive was developed by Insomniac Games and published by Microsoft. The game launched in North America on October 28, October 30 in Japan and October 31 in Europe.

That's pretty bad when you consider this game is bundled. Insomniac should have stayed with PlayStation, that's where most of their fans are obviously.

Those numbers don't count the bundled the sales as far as I know? And real insomniac fans would follow everything else is fan boy bs.

Bundle sales never count towards game sales figures because when the sale is rung up it shows up as a console not a game.

Not bad for a bundled game in a special edition white version of the console. But not very good either.

True, but VGC doesn't track bundles in all countries. It probably sold more, but not by much.
