Microsoft to Replace Batch of Xbox One Consoles that are Noisy - News

There has been some complaints made online about newly released Xbox One's having a noise issue. The problem has only affected a small number of consoles. When the console is running at low power on the console's desktop there is a noise coming from a coil.
Microsoft has stated they will be replacing any Xbox One that has experienced the noise. About 800 people have responded to a forum post on the official Xbox forums.
"We have heard that a small number of Xbox One owners in some situations may hear a noise from the console that is too loud," a Microsoft spokesperson told Eurogamer. "While this does not affect the safety or functionality of the system, we're asking customers who believe they are experiencing this issue to contact Xbox Support: http://support.xbox.com. At the request of our customers, we are exchanging those consoles for new systems."

If they are only looking at forum complaints, of course that's a small sample. Most people juts suck it up, or try to get it repaired at the store..

What's noisy is XOne's failure.
They could be taking a play from 360 and just looking to replace consoles so they can pad their sale numbers like they did with RRoD.
Faulty fan? The Unit itself burns cooler than the PS4 so it might just be that the fan on that particular unit is messed up.
