The German-based browser game developer Bigpoint has hit a new milestone. More than 300 million people have registered across its 65 games. Bigpoint in order to celebrate the milestone is giving away five sets of five gold coins worth over £1,800.
"In recent years, we've seen a rapid increase and unprecedented numbers in our titles. We want to celebrate our accomplishments and show our appreciation to our international community," said Heiko Hubertz, Bigpoint founder. "The strength and support of our players exemplifies how we've evolved in the F2P industry, and serves as further motivation to keep us driving innovation in browser games."
This is good news for a company that was hit with layoffs in October. 120 employees were let go and stopped developing games in the US. 80 employees were laid off at its Hamburg studio and 40 were laid off in its San Francisco studio.
