USA Preorders Chart, 24 March 2012 - Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 - News

Overview

There is one game in the top 30 to be in its final week before launch, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The top four games have 200,000 or more pre-orders, the same as last week, and the top eight has 100,000 or more pre-orders, down from nine last week. One game added 20,000 or more, up from none last week and two add 10,000 or more, the same as last week.

Games in Final Week Before Launch

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 (PS3) added 4,540 pre-orders in its final week, for a grand total of 41,277. This suggests that first week sales in the USA will be in the 60,000 to 75,000 unit range. This is from 25 percent to 40 percent less than the previous game in the franchise. Expect the game to sell between 450,000 and 550,000 units in the USA by the time it is done selling.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 (X360) added 6,035 pre-orders in its final week, for a grand total of 40,519. This suggests that first week sales in the USA will be in the 70,000 to 85,000 unit range. This is a drop similar to the PlayStation 3 version, when comparing it to its predecessor. Expect the game to sell between 400,000 and 500,000 units in the USA by the time it is done selling.

Major Performers – Week Ending March 31

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City sales are expected to drop to around a combined 125,000 in its second week. The Xbox 360 version is expected to sell around 65,000 units and the PlayStation 3 version around 60,000 units.

Kid Icarus: Uprising (3DS) sales are expected to drop a little less than two-thirds to around 25,000.

Silent Hill HD Collection (PS3) sales are expected to drop to around 10,000 in its second week on sale. The Xbox 360 version is expected to sell around 7,500 units.

Armored Core V sales are expected to drop to around a combined 20,000 in its second week. The Xbox 360 version is expected to sell around 12,000, while the PlayStation 3 version should be around 8,000.

Ninja Gaiden 3 had a disappointing launch, not even selling a combined 40,000 units in its opening week. Expect second week sales to be around a combined 15,000 units, with both sales being evenly split between the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version.

Mass Effect 3 sales are expected to drop to around a combined 90,000 in its fourth week on sale. The Xbox 360 version is expected to sell around 70,000, while the PlayStation 3 version is expected to sell around 20,000.

Hardware sales are expected to have a very tiny drop and should remain relatively flat through most of May.

Xenoblade Chronicles Pre-orders

Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii) is up two spots to number five, as it adds 10,595 pre-orders, up from 10,294 last week, for a total of 169,050. The game is two weeks away from launch, April 2, 2012 in the USA.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier USA Pre-orders

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (X360) is at number two, as it adds 6,891 pre-orders, up from 5,740 last week, for a total of 240,086. The PlayStation 3 version is up two spots to number 10, as it adds 1,753 pre-orders, down from 1,870 last, for a total of 86,594. The game is nine weeks away from launch, May 22, 2012 in the USA.

Notable mentions: Diablo III (PC) added 23,997 pre-orders for a total of 473,152. Halo 4 (X360) added 3,663 pre-orders for a total 201,061. Max Payne 3 (X360) added 3,084 pre-orders for a total of 98,579.

Where is Prototype 2 for xbox 360, it should be higher than on the ps3, well the last game sold better in the US.
Hoping Max Payne 3 will rise :D

Lol, looks like it was forgotten or re-scaled. I noticed a lot of already released games got rescaled (Gears 2 and Uncharted jumped 500k within the last couple months).
