It is different to now saying that I do not trust reviews, I just disagree with them on some things. I see no major problems with the targeting system and though there are some issues with the physics items, it is mostly excellent in that regard with few glitches. The gameplay may be a little uninspired, but I thought the art design is brilliant, and there are some excellent battles, and I do like the inclusion of QTEs. They allow a nice flash ending to boss battles, and you cant really fail them, as they just loop

I wasn't very impressed with the demo either, but the level you get in the demo isn't even in the game. It's much longer and different in some places.

I played the game at my brothers console and it's so much better than the demo. Trust me. (It was so good that I purchased it the same day)

the Wii version rocks and deserves to have a higher score!!
(even if i think reviews suck they are 1 person's opinion, i have to agree with IGN this time)

the Ps3 version is somehow bad/mediocore, very repetitive with nothing special.... (just played the demo)

The Wii version deserves at least an extra full point for its exclusive Gungan boss. Sure, you don't ACTUALLY get to kill Jar-Jar, but this is probably as close as George Lucas will ever allow you to get.

I dunno, for once I agree with Onimusha, although not his horrible attitude. His point is valid:

"Hardcore" gamers always criticize Wii gamers for buying "bad games," but this game is rated just as low as most of those games, if not lower than many of them. So people should either admit that reviews aren't a good judge of quality or admit that gamers buy crap on all consoles.

You might as well save your breath. It's like trying to argue with a movie critic that a very popular movie is worth seeing... the critic will find ways to nitpick the movie apart, while missing the point of the entertainment entirely. I've given up trying to argue with people who simply didn't/won't-ever enjoy the game. On the other hand, even thought I typically don't care for JRPGs, you won't hear me trashing them... to each his own. One man's meat is another man's poison.

I've had a lot of fun with this game. I don't know why it got hit so hard, I guess just the amount of hype. Sure, the targeting system did suck, there were a few times where my PS3 just froze, and the game is kind of short, but I didn't think that any of these really made the game as bad as some of the reviews claimed. Maybe I'm just too much of a Star Wars geek, but this is definitely one of the best Star Wars games I've played in a long time.

I finished the game with a playthrough time of 9:40 on hard mode, though I died a ton as well. I also spend quite a lot of time looking for holocromes, so yes, it is quite a short game, but I do think it is perfectly long, especially with an awesome story

well, the Wii version is better, graphics may not be as good, but they are still ok..

the game is much more enjoyable on Wii and less repetitive, and the gameplay is simply great!!

for the 1st time, IGN agrees with me, giving a higher score to the Wii version!! yeeha!

Yes creativity, as in some enemies have blasters, others are snipers and yet others have rocket launchers. The Diversity is mind shattering.

And to top it off this is just copy and pasted as the template for every race you fight.

The challenge is because I am being shot at from 20 different angles with people with homing missiles and snipers that take out a large chunk of my life, and the bosses are really hard. May I point out that a hard game is not necessarily a good game. Also, surely you should be criticising something like Gears where the gap between casual (easy) and hardcore (normal) is huge

It's pretty clear that this game is a mediocre and dull excercise in repetition. Some gamers have lower standards and are fine with that kind of game, but I think most of agree this shouldn't be the kind of game that does well. This game is fine as a demo, but not as $60 4-6 hour investment.

And Munkeh111, if you have to play a game on hard mode just to get a sense of challenge out of it then its not a very good game, especially when I'm sure most of that challenge is the clumsiness of the game's force system.

@ waron, play the 360 version (or PS3) on hard, and it is not an easy game. The second boss fight was nearly impossible, he could just take a huge chunk out of my life at will, and he would block nearly all my attacks. I just had to electrocute him and chuck him against the wall... about 100 times, that was not easy. Some of the melee enemy fighters can take about 1/4 of my health bar out with ease. I assume the Wii game is different, but on the HD one, it can truly present a proper challenge

@ galaki i played it i even finished it and those 6 hours i spend with this game was the worst time i had. after second level(the one in demo) it was all downhill pretty fast. this game isn't good, it's not even mediocre it's just bad, plain bad.
yeah thank you lucas arts for playing the most boring, generic and challengeless game ever just to see some stupid scene where 2 people look into the sky for 10 seconds.

So, most that actually played/own the game say it's good. While the ones bashing it never even played it but based entirely on reviewers that we learned not to trust. I think I'll side with the players on this case.

after playing something like 3 hours the Wii version, i see that the game rocks!!

the force controls are great on Wii and they always work, and the duel mode includes Darth Maul which is my favorite character!! : )

@ savoir, it is more than 6 hours, closer to 10 on hard mode, I have played all but the last level yesterday and friday, with probably 8 or 9, though I did get severely stuck a few times

However, the story is truly great

After Knights of the Old Republic my favourite Star Wars game. Controls are easy, the camera is very good and graphics are in some parts truly awesome.
So much fun and has a huge lasting appeal with achievements :) (for all the people who think that it's too short)

Beja-Beja: I seriously doubt it that the DS version had a higher debute then the PSP version. Im not expecting Madden 09 differences but it will probably do better IMO.

But cant say that the numbers come as a surprise. Its a Star Wars game and they usually sell well :D Oh, and it had a pretty big buzz around it lets be honest...

Despite all the negative statements on this thread, the game is selling well and many people are enjoying it. The destructable environment is a lot of fun and I enjoyed the storyline. I find it odd that a few people are just aching for this game to fail.

i got the Wii version, the gameplay is really, really cool and accurate!!
also the duel mode is great and has a lot of characters....

(the only bad is that graphics are pretty bad while you are playing as Darth Vader, after that they improve somehow!?

beja-beja's predictions look about right, there are 80k owners of MGC, and if I compare other ones, it looks like the fraction is like 1/4-/1/5 in general (though it does vary a lot).

Anyway, I have really enjoyed the game so far, I dont get why there is so much hate

Sweet. I don't care what people say, I love the Wii version of this game. The game is fun and has an enjoyable storyline so bite me haha.

Glad to see it do well in its first week. Hard to tell how sales were distributed other than 700k probably for the Americas and 300k for E/O in those 5 days. If I had to guess only the Wii, PS3, 360, and PS2 versions probably had decent representation. But not going to try and guess haha.
