Thats nothing but garbage. This game is nothing more than Capcom attempting to westernise their games with Japanese developers. RE5 started this with the Gears of Wars style co-op. It got the sales Capcom wanted, so they continued with RE6. If you like this game fine, but lets not pretend its Resident Evil. A game is not good just because its made in Japan. @Wagner: The thing is that people began bitching about survival horror. And also It does not help that most times Japanese developers want to express their own take on the genres they touched; and so, RE6 as a 3rd person shooter is different and it needs a gamers with enough patience to actually understand and play the way is meant to be played.

Most japanese games have this "endurance" part; and most people are not willing to give the game enough time in order to go past that. But that is not an excuse, Japanese developers need to get rid of that "gaming fat" in order to get directly into the juicy meat.

I remember playing Yakuza 3 for the first time, and I was like WTF is this; but then, considering the story was good; it motivated me to go forward and after that the game clicked with me; and now I have platinumed Y3, Y4; and I am hoping for Y5 to be released in west shores.

The RE series always have bein a B Horror movie simulator, since the first game, RE6 is like a B horror movie with a big budget, and it is a very cool game overall,

true, but I waited to see what the game felt like from reviewers, before going into it. Like I said, playing COOP split screen was what made it fun, and what it was probably designed to be, or online

I think you enjoyed it because you got it cheap and because you didn't have high expectations. All the hate came from those who bought the game at full price with high expectations. I haven't personally sampled it, but thats what I think.

Well it is possible to surpass RE5, because the game only shipped 5.8M. If the game shipped cumulatively 5.8M I think it is hard for a game to sell 7M to customers ¬_¬. At most the game has hold 5.5M. Having said so, considering that RE6 has shipped 4.5M I think that at least Capcom will be able to surpass the RE5 shipment, dont know about sales to costumers XD. But still what Capcom cares about is shipment numbers, because that is how they get money.

It'll never be passing RE5's 7+ million sales, the games pretty mediocre so its got no chance.

there is now way this will reach 7mil when it's dropped 80% in the first week. i don't think i've ever seen a game drop that sharply before, maybe DA2 or DNF.

If this sales are true, then this game will surpass in no time the RE5 TRUE sales. RE5 in reality sold a lot less if you see the cumulative shipment of the game which is 5.8M.

@abhiram_33: There are other survival horror games on PC. If you love so much that genre you should play those. I love RE because of the main protagonists and the story. Survival horror is the least of my concerns. If a game based on a franchise I am fan is great I will buy it.

I wonder how this will sell in the upcoming weeks. 1st week sales represent the hyped people that bought the game. But now sales will depend on people curious about the game; so considering the reviews it may not do as good. Hopefully word of mouth will help this game sell lots of millions in each console.

Game NOT deserved this sales.

The game is just that unmemorable, despite its over-the-top action set-pieces. This game is like a kid who tried his absolute hardest in school but still ended up with a C because he couldn’t do any better. I tried thinking about how this game could be fixed, but all I could come up with was “Go play Resident Evil 4 again”.

My opinion//review :D (score at the end)

I think that they should have made the Leon campaign longer, and make it THE MAIN CAMPAIGN of the game, and once you clear it, you are able to access Chris and Jake story. Kind of separate ways and desperate escape, but much bigger. And once the 3 are completed you could access Ada´s campaign. I say this because Leon campaign is the best of the 3, and it alone for me justifies the $60. The story is really enjoyable and intriguing, because they are showing you who the bad guys were all along....behind the curtain :).

Also if reviewers would have played the other 2 campaigns as a bonus, (after they completed Leon´s campaign) instead of playing them as the main things offered in the game they would have rate it way better.

Leon campaign is the best, and I would have preferred, instead of having the other 2 campaigns, Leon´s campaign to be bigger. But still those 2 campaigns are quite enjoyable, and Ada´s campaign is also great.

The only thing that bothers me is how the FUCK the graphics are worst than in RE5? Why can this game look like at least as RE5? I know that areas are bigger, and that now the levels are the whole act, instead of sub-chapters; but you would expect that a big budget game like this would get better graphics than the previous tittle. Textures lack lot of detail sometimes, and NPCs look like shit. The "zombies" in RE5 looked really detailed, and the textures in the stages were detailed. Graphically looks unpolished :(.

Even though graphics disappoint, what matters in the end is the gameplay in order to determine if a game is enjoyable or not; and I think that all of the additions in that department are extraordinary well implemented in Leon´s campaign. The added mobility is terrific. And the skill points mechanic is similar to the money mechanic of RE4-5; but instead of buying or upgrading weapons you buy and upgrade skills. Instead of buying a bulletproof vest, you buy an skill to have take less damage. Instead of upgrading a weapon in particular in order to do more damage, you buy an skill that allows you to do more damage. Most skills can be upgraded, but cost lot skill points to do so.

8.5/10
