410K for a game that is selling for $20-$30 at the moment http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=the+conduit&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=6377453143522414105&ei=Qt3pS_yCOZWqtAOwxPCFCA&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CCoQ8wIwAw#ps-sellers

with also an average score of 69 on metacritic

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/wii/conduit

is an astounding success IMHO! No wonder Sega and HVS made a sequel!!!

@Assh you are probably right. The bulk of core games(SH,MH3 and so forth) sold quite well in 2010, and its APPARENTLY making some wii owners consider their console a more solid CORE choice. This year TC2 will sound like a more viable purchase given the better reputation of wii for FPS(reflex)

I think it will definitely outsell this game simply because of two things: Largar focus on multiplayer (Online competitive, Splitscreen competitive, Online co-op, splitscreen co-op) and because its being released close to Holidays and Black Friday. Definitely at least 300-350k (possibly 400k) by the end of this year depending on when they release it.

With the announcement of Conduit 2, the first one 'll make some decent numbers I think. 400.000 copies for a new franchise it's ok. Could be grat, yes, but that's really good. By the time Conduit 2 is on stores this one 'll be at may be 500.000 cpies, so the made profit with this title. Yesterday I was playing the multiplayer on internet and was amazing!!
I love this game.

Well, Call of Duty is like a 76 on Metacritic and Conduit it 69 or something, yet when readers read the COD reviews (and actually look at the reviews, not the scores) they'd see that its rated low because it's just too late.

Also, you're right, It's call of Duty, people know it'll be good, but for games like The Conduit, they won't know if it is good or not.

call of duty didn't get good reviews either.. yet it sold better because its call of duty and its a big franchise.. The Conduit on the other hand got bad reviews and it wasn't a big franchise, plus critics even admitted that they hated the wiimote pointer for fps, it doesn't matter if its a good game they will give it a bad review because of that

This is a decent shooter on the Wii. I also believe that, had Sega push the advertising a little more, sales would had been better. I mean come on Sega, is a new franchise! On another topic, i hate how Sega and other companies think this game didnt do good for them, when i see other games on 360 and PS3 doing similar or lower numbers, yet they dont complaint about those games, because the fact that they are on both (360/PS3) and then combine sales reach similar and up to 500k. Take The Saboteur for example, the game will probably never be call a failure, because it will probably reach 500k xb360/PS3 combine sales, but if a wii game comes out and sales are 300k or around that erea, everyone will call it a flop. Thats without thinking about how much profit did they really make since it should be cheaper to develop for wii than and HD console.

One of the main reason's why this game probably did so bad was the fact Sega kept dropping the price of their titles every month instead of starting with a reasonable price point. Honestly, HOTD:O and Madworld would have sold their current numbers i(if not more) had they sold them for $30-$40 and give a decent advertisement. Now most gamers are just holding out on quality games hoping that the price will stabilize before they purchase them!!!
