'N+' stays #1 for 4th straight week, eding out newbie 'Brain Challenge', while Bliss Island bombs horribly.

Yet again, N+ continues it's dominance of the charts, with another solid week. Although it finally had a large drop, it was 1 week after typical drops. Brain Challenge also did a bit better than I expected, quite a bit better in fact. Some notes:
- N+ records 4 weeks at #1, a record for our charts. With 1 week left, it looks like N+ will end with around 77,500 units first month, making it the 2nd fastest-selling first month since we started the charts, and well above current #2 Metal Slug 3.
- Brain Challenge sold very well for the week - entering the charts at #4 for 'Best first weekend of 2008' - behind Rez, N+ and Poker Smash. It also had debut sales above the DS release in the US, according to VGC.
- Triggerheart Excelica, as expected, had a massive 70% drop versus last week. With Japan leading the way in sales, the limited Japanese userbase of X360 owners has made this game have poor legs. It's going to most likely DOA in a few weeks.
- Rocketmen: Axis of Evil has a very, very poor 2nd week. Although it's positioning increases very strongly, from #24 to #10, it's actual week-over-weekend increase is only 60% - very bad news for the game (again, typical games are above 100%).
- Commander: AotG and Discs of Tron finish their first month charting with 15,156 and 6,826 Units Sold respectively....Neither title did very well, which is sad. Commander seemed like a very good game, and I plan on eventually picking it up. First Week/Month multipliers were 5.4x and 4.42x, again respectively. Commanders was slightly above the average of 5.2x

No games have been announced (as far as I know) for next week thus far. Stay tuned for what title(s) it will be. I am still expecting Ikaruga and Pirates vs. Ninja Dodgeball in the next week or two, since both titles were supposed to be Feb/Mar titles.

I would have never bought it, but since it was free that one week, I gave it a go.

If your reffering to why these games aren't on the "games" tab of the database, I assume it's because ioi and such want to catagorize them as games not under the PS3/X360/Wii banner, and rather on the networks the games are found under such as the PSN, XBLA, WW and VC channels.
The pretty good sales of Brain Challenge makes sense considering that it's the first game of it's kind on 360. I'll have to check it out.

It is a real shame that Commanders AOG has not sold well, it is a great game.
Brain Challenge is also a welcome addition, multiplayer is good fun, MS needs to try to capture more of the casual game market, look how Nintendo are pushing the DS with brain training. I think this game will have legs.
I wonder how the N+ DLC will sell when user generated levels are available.

Handheld versions should do well. For me, the question is how well they'll addopt knowing there's a cheaper version out there.
Although Chessmaster LIVE is lower on the charts, it's still doing very well vs. it's first week - 1 and 1/2 months after launch, this week's sales are above 50% of first week - which is pretty good.
As for Pacman vs. CE - its because PacMan is $5, CE is $10 - CE has vastly outsold the first version in terms of revenue....And the $5 PacMan has been on the charts for quite a bit longer too.
N+ is doing great ... I wonder how much will the handheld versions do :)
PAC-MAN CE deserves more. I wonder why the original sold better.
