It's about to sell more with the Days of Play deal.

Guess it was worth the $300M budget?...but Sony shouldn't try to push it and spend this crazy amount again. They can scale it back and still achieve the same success with the right planning.

11M in 6 months, GOW Ragnarok 15M in 1 year, Helldivers 2 12M in 3 months

An apples to apples comparison is Marvel's Spider-Man 2 sold 11M in 6 months and God of War: Ragnarök sold 11M in 2.5 months.

Ragnarok was on PS4 too while Spider-Man 2 is PS5 only

While it has been bundled at times with PS5, this just goes to show that a PS5 exclusive doesn't have to be on PC to sell like crazy.
Simply put, more people want to play this game than FFVII Rebirth. Now that is an apples to oranges comparison, but PS5 exclusivity and a smaller install base than PS4 were not the main reasons Rebirth had underwhelming sales.
Legs will probably be decent, 25 million or more lifetime.

Why does Sony so rarely update sales figures?

Did you want them to tell us when it hit 10.1 million, 10.2, 10.3 ... ???

This will sell 30m when it's discounted to $20 like the first game. It's been out for over 6 months and still $70

"still $70" Are we pretending like Sony didn't just pack-in a copy of SpiderMan 2 with every PS5 during the most recent holiday season? No doubt the game will have some good legs, but your analysis doesn't seem "up to snuff".

Can you read? Game still cost $70. What does that got to do with last holidays bundles?

Yes, the game still costs $70. I’m not disputing this, nor am I truly disputing any claim. I am simply providing additional context to your analysis: Sure, the game may still cost $70, but it was a pack-in title for the most recent holiday season (hence, you’re claim that it costing $70 and still pulling off 11mil needs additional context, so as to assist in your projection).

I didn't say anything about it sold 11m even though it's still $70. I said I think it will sell 30m because eventually the game will get discounted to $20 look ke the first Spiderman on PS4

fair enough. Maybe I’m just being a little too thorough in my reading of your original comment…but yes, that’s a fair point.

All good. And yes I know the a lot of that 11m sold is from the bundle but then the majority of its lifetime sale will be when it gets that permanent price drop to $20-$30
