Read the synopsis of the TV series below:
Twisted Metal, a half-hour live-action TV series based on the classic PlayStation game series, is a high-octane action comedy, based on an original take by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and written by Michael Jonathan Smith, about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.
A life-long and avid gamer, William D'Angelo was first introduced to VGChartz in 2007. After years of supporting the site, he was brought on in 2010 as a junior analyst, working his way up to lead analyst in 2012 and taking over the hardware estimates in 2017. He has expanded his involvement in the gaming community by producing content on his own YouTube channel and Twitch channel. You can contact the author on Twitter @TrunksWD.

When people said they wanted new Twisted Metal I think they were referring to a new game, not a series, Sony.
Looks terrible but I see AEW star Samoa Joe as Sweet Tooth. I wonder who Miro plays
I feel like this is an overbudgeted way of trying to gouge ppl's interest in the IP, especially when people have been asking for a new game for years now.
Just a teaser but I'm fine with it being laughably terrible. Just need to know who's playing Calypso.
I dont expect this to be amazing but just fun and entertaining to watch
It’s possibly that they don’t want to put their games day 1.
But if GP is making $250m each month, why they are only releasing about 2-4 AAA games this year??
That's a massive over simplification. What do you think generates more money? Putting Starfield on a sub service for $15/month or having players pay full price $70 usd or 89.99 cad for it? Cause I'll tell you right now the latter will make a ton more money for the company.
MS does it not for the money but because they want players in the ecosystem at any cost.
Sony does it for the money, the players are already there and more than willing to drop full price for a huge new release.
Sony won't ever drop huge AAA games day 1 on a service purely because they don't need to, they would be losing money.
