Trolling Sony. MS barely releases any physical games. Xbox software shelf space at retail is nearly non existent. Maybe they'll move more physical games on Nintendo.
Literally just brought Gears Eday on disk
You bought a license key disc with 130mb of data on it which starts a download of 124gb of data. MS would need to ship on 3 of their 50 GB discs to have the full game on it. It will also be under shipped to begin with as well.
There is literally no one who wouldnt consider that a disc.
Also, his disc gets him a free digital copy too
This may be a turning point. Asha has already shown she is prepared to abandon the failed strategies of Phil Spencer
A game code in a plastic case falls squarely into this category.
Yeah, I try not to be a pessimist, but you are right. A Supply Games Strategist doesn't necessarily mean games on disc at all - it just refers to a retail presence in general, which could include download codes or codes in boxes. But again, Xbox really does have the chance to do the funniest thing ever and reverse Sony's 2013 press conference of 'how to borrow a game to a friend' and continue supporting physical discs with the next Xbox.
The digital thing is an idea from Microsoft ^^
*we brought in an expert and the sad reality is physical games are no longer financially viable, sorry gamers we REALLY tried " - Xbox in a year or so when they also ditch physical like they always planned to but let Sony take all the flak for it.
I think it'll be up to the market and for the individual to decide.
Time to put your wallet where your mouth is.
Here in Australia my local game stores don't even have a proper Xbox section any more. I expect they will fumble this chance to get one over Sony, like they have consistently since 2013
Xbox let their physical game prescence dwindle, but that was under Phil Spencer's disasterous reign. We'll see how this plays out, but im hopeful they are in full course correction mode and Asha's recent actions seem to support this.
