Capcom Updates Its Best-Sellers Lists - Monster Hunter: World at 16.8M, Resident Evil 3 at 3.6M, More - Sales

Capcom has its list of Platinum Titles, games that have sold over one million units as of December 31, 2021. The list includes 103 games with sales over one million units, 46 over two million units, eight over five million units, and one over 10 million units sold.
Monster Hunter: World sold 400,000 units in the first quarter to bring lifetime sales to 16.8 million units, while the Iceborne expansion sold 600,000 units for a total of 7.2 million units.
Resident Evil VII: biohazard sold 200,000 units to bring lifetime sales to 8.5 million units, Resident Evil 2 sold 300,000 units to bring sales to 7.8 million units and Resident Evil 3 sold 600,000 units to bring sales to 3.6 million units.

Im impressed by RE6 sales, considering all the problems reported. I still need to play it someday.
sorry to say but re6 is the least popular game in the series. It only sold cause of the sucess of re5 and the discounted sales to those who weren't fully aware of the game's short comings.

Re6 wasn't survival horror but a hybrid third person action some horror coop game and it was magnificent at what did.
Thanks, I ight try the remaster at some point. I love the series the didnt like RE5 at all, stopped mid game due to clunky controls (no running and shooting) and that goddam companion, it was so annoying to play. I saw a RE6 video one of these days and it seemed to be actually not that bad. I might try Revelations 2 also some day.
Man Monster Hunter World's numbers are amazing. 17 Million Sold is considered an elite top dog in terms of sales for most major developers, and I'm sure the series expanded way more to western audiences. Based on the franchise's popularity now, Monster Hunter Rise looks to be a major system seller for the Switch even in regions outside of Japan and will sell amazingly.
Looking at those number for Monster Hunter World, it’s clear that Capcom will continue with the Multiplatform route from now on.

I can see MH Rise selling better than MH World when it gets ported to other devices.
MH Rise is hitting the list next time. We'll more or less see its first week shipments since it releases so close to the end of the quarter.
