The free-to-play open-world action RPG, Genshin Impact, surpassed 17 million worldwide downloads in just four days on mobile platforms, according to a report in October.
Genshin Impact has generated $393 million in revenue in its first two months following its launch on September 28, according to estimates from research firm Sensor Tower Store Intelligence.
The RPG earned $60 million in just its first week and by the end of its first month had earned $245 million. In the second month available the game grossed $148 million.
Genshin Impact in its first two months was the second highest-grossing mobile game worldwide. Only Honor of Kings from Tencent earned more with $467 million in revenue, while PUBG came in third with $384 million earned.
Over $120 million in revenue comes from China or about 30.5 percent of the total. Japan came in second with nearly $98 million earned or nearly 25 percent of the revenue. The US came in third with about $74 million.
Apple’s App Store accounted for $226 million or 57.5 percent of the revenue, while the Google Play store earned $167 million or 42.5 percent of the revenue.
Genshin Impact is available now for the PlayStation 4, PC, iOS, and Android. It is also in development for the Nintendo Switch.
