Didnt impress me at all graphically, I expected something at least just as beautiful as destiny. But it seems like a real successor to Halo CE and if PVP is good I can see this game making a lot of success. Would probably be much more beautiful if it was next gen only.
If the X1 version is aiming for 60 fps and split screen, then maybe some compromise is expected. Destiny 2 has netiher 60 fps or split screen.
Next gen exclusive was never the plan. Series X is just a lot of additional polish.
Looks incredible, what i expected. Good job 343, cannot wait. traditional Halo at its best.
Indeed it does :) This looks so much like a true sequel to the Halo:CE.
Also fully open world
Not a stunner visually, but good for open world 60 fps with nice art direction to boot. Definitely feels like a more direct successor to CE. Looking forward to it.
I hope it gets a 4 player coop! 2 Player Splitscreen.
So many dumb comments. Its a cross gen game built with X1 and 60 fps in mind. Who was expecting amazing graphics? Its like expecting ground breaking visuals in the new Spiderman or GT7. We had an idea what it would be, more polished 8th gen graphics for the most part.
It doesn’t even look like that though. Most current gen games look better.
On the Series X they claim it will be 4K/60fps. Potentially 60 fps on Xbox One. This far we see numerous 9th gen games aiming for 30 fps.
Maybe Microsoft shouldn't have said "Built from the ground up for Xbox Series X" during the show then.
Does not look visually stunning and the bearded guy's character model seemed low quality as well, but i'm excited to see more game-play in the future.
Cant wait. Halo fun long time. Halo 2 was my first game i finished. I know that some ppl are disappointed about graphic but i think its just gorgeous since that is what i was expecting and it looks so much like CE, and not to mantion, open world Halo game
That's currently just one video embedded twice.
Although I'm excited to see a new Halo I was desperately hoping for a new direction in art. If not for the main series it would be nice to see a spin off with a more realistic design.
Just watched the first trailer it again and this is hilarious imo :)
At 0.51, the woman is wearing an HOLOLENS! Ahah I love that touch.
I originally saw the trailer on my phone. Watching it on my TV, it looks very much like Halo 5 with more polish. I don't think the goal is just photorealistic graphics, its also trying to maintain the stylized presentation of the series. Personally I like how it looks, hitting 4K/60 fps also requires a lot of GPU power. But again, I think its dumb to expect amazing visuals for a game essentially built for X1.
I felt so underwhelmed watching the gameplay. It just didn’t grab me at all. The gun have this plastic look about them and sound so pathetic. The enemies didn’t even feel threatening. It all seemed to just be lacking that killer edge.
This is what happens when you include the X1. People just refused to listen.
Gameplay > Graphics
If I want gameplay, I can just stick with the Switch and not spend $500 on an XSX.
Indeed. But it is rarely one or the other. Most AAA games have both graphics AND gameplay.
Try another argument next time. This one is founded on a stupid fallacy.
Include X1? You mean the console is was announced for?
@SanAndreasX Than don't, no one is asking you to purchase a Series X
@Hynad Gameplay will always rule over graphics, fact over assumption.
What a stupid reply. I didn’t make any assumptions. You are just doing the same as some Nintendo fans who cling to the gameplay over graphics argument as if it was one or the other. When in reality, most game with great visuals also have great gameplay.
There’s no fact over assumptions here (lol). Just you being your usual self.
A lot of games that offer great visuals tend to lack in many other departments, Drive Club, Ryse, Killzone SF, The Order, Quantum Break just to name a few while other good looking games lack great story telling or sound and music. You know what some of the best reviewed games this gen are? Zelda, Mario, Persona, games that graphics don't carry their scores.
And for the few flops you can name, anyone else who isn’t... well... you, can mention God of War, Spider-Man, the Forza series, The Witcher 3, Ori and the Blind Forest, The Last of Us Part 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Bloodborne, Red Dead Redemption 2, Doom, Doom Eternal, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and the list goes on.
And before you go your usual bad faith route and bring up each of these games few blemishes, the facts still stand. They’re graphical showcases for their genres and have stellar gameplay.
Thank you, good night. And bring your fallacies to your bed.
And not one of those games you mention recieved better reviews than the games i brought up except for RDR2 which many will say is incredibly overrated. Graphics does not carry the games.
Also been said it is a service model going forward.
343 have actually detailed this, you strange people.
