World of Warcraft: Legion Sells Over 3.3M Units Day One - News

The latest expansion for World of Warcraft - known as Legion - sold over 3.3 million units in its first day on sale on August 30, according to Activision Blizzard.
The figure ties the all-time record achieved by previous expansions, Cataclysm and Warlords of Draenor, and is one of the fastest-selling PC games ever.
"It’s been a thrill to see players hunting demons, powering up Artifacts, and freely exploring all the new zones in Legion," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We worked hard to make this the best World of Warcraft expansion yet, and we look forward to providing players with even more content as Legion’s epic story unfolds in the months ahead."
The first major update of the expansion, Patch 7.1: Return to Karazhan, featuring a reimagined version of one of World of Warcraft's most popular raids.

Good numbers for day 1. Blizz seems to be delivering on the content end too with return to karazhan patch coming later this month, that's already sooner than any content they bothered with last expansion along with all the other changes they've made.
So basically the sales of the expansions are holding steady. I wonder will the users drop down significantly again like they've been after the other hand expansions. That's where the real issue has been.
