Maximum Entertainment in partnership with publisher CMD Studios and developer Winter Crew announced it will release the Metroidvania game, Fallen Tear: The Ascension, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in 2027.

Fallen Tear: The Ascension casts players as Hira, a mysterious child fated to stand against ancient gods, in the high-fantasy world of Raoah. It blends the emotional weight and party-building of classic JRPGs with the freeform exploration of a Metroidvania and a touch of souls-like challenge, across a hand-drawn, interconnected world on the brink of collapse.

Between expeditions, players build and customize their home base, the Temple of Oras, filling it with the allies they have recruited and earning upgrades through minigames that reflect Hira’s own journey. With 22 potential companions, each carrying their own skills and story, no two paths through Raoah are bonded the same way.
