Gears of War: Ultimate Edition to Include All 4 Gears Games - News

Microsoft has announced that if you purchase Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (or receive the game as part of the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition bundle) then you'll be given access to all four Xbox 360 Gears of War titles on Xbox One.

The three additional Gears of War titles are not included on the disc and haven't received the remaster treatment like the original title, rather they will be made available to download via Xbox Live thanks to them receiving backwards compatibility from August 25 through December 31, 2015.

If you already own any of those titles for the Xbox 360 then you'll also be able to play them on your Xbox One without having to purchase Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition releases on the Xbox One in August. The game is also set to release on PC some time thereafter, although no firm release date has been announced for this version.

Microsoft stepping up. I already own all the games on 360 so this won't affect me but this is great for people that are new to the series.
