While Halo is known to help revolutionize FPS on consoles as we know it, can Halo 3 be able to live up to the hype of it's predecessors? Simple answer would be yes but that'd be a lame review.

When it comes to Halo, most people will know it as one of the greatest FPS series of all time and this game helps solidify that statement.  The story of Halo is known for rings (or Halos are what they're normally named) could be the destruction of all that you know and you do what you can from stopping it.  Halo 3 starts right off where Halo 2 with it's cliffhanger ending and gets you right back into the action with stopping the Covenant (bad guy aliens) from starting up the halo rings for religious beliefs.  Now to divert from saving any spoilers, Halo 3's presentation is quite jaw dropping at first from the lush and varied scenery to the beautiful explosions of vehicles and well done lighting, the presentation of this game is quite a nice view.  The gameplay unfortunately did not change much from the first except a switching of a few buttons (RB to hop on vehicles), new weapons which are cool, and a new type of cover system (pressing X will make you open a bubble shield, flare, or whatever you have equiped for said category).  While it may not be as changed as hoped it would be, the saying don't fix something that isn't broken applies well for this but leaves the whole gameplay mechanices a bit washed-up.  The value is 10 for one thing only MP!!! You could possibly not care about the SP and play MP for hours upon hours and never show signs of boredom, while that does show SP isn't as great as expected, it also shows this is the greatest MP experience imo (and many others opinions).  The multiple stuff for MP between forge, taking screenshots or short clips from SP or MP and letting other people view, to downloading other user's forged maps from bungie.net make this a worth while experience that can burn hours of your time.  All in all, Halo 3's SP may be a bit on the short side and a tad underwhelming but it's 4-player co-op for SP, it's great MP, presentation, plus all the greats things from Halo 1 +2 folded into this makes Halo 3 one of the best games this gen.

The wiki says this sold over 15 million copies
If so, this is some SERIOUS undertracking

Does VGC count all versions of this game? Looking back at old NPD data, USA first year is severely under tracked. NPD has it at 4.82 million in the first year, VGC is 4.24 million. Unless VGC put those missing sales in 2008, Halo 3 could already be at 12.5 million.
