my prediction for the maximum sales of this game (not including the wii u version) is about 45 - 55 million, not I completely understand why people might say that this is a crazie amount, but by now, it has sold at least 30 million and its been increasing every year, now in 2021 I do believe this will be the first year to see a dip in mario kart 8 deluxe sales but we can easily without a doubt see 36-38 million sales by the end of 2021 Message | Report |

Only a couple of weeks from outselling the Wii U version. From there, it's only a matter of time until this sells every iteration except DS and Wii. If we include the Wii U sales, maybe it can even match those two. Message | Report |

Holy crap, when the attach rate was this huge on the Wii U, I thought it might be from lack of games, but once again it's almost at that 50% attach rate. I wonder if, after combining both versions, the total sales will be somewhat close to Mario Kart Wii's level Message | Report |

These sales for basically a port of MK8 seem like a really good sign for Switch hardware sales overall. Looks like there isn't a lot of overlap between Wii U owners and Switch owners, so I get the feeling that the Switch is really picking up steam outside of the Nintendo Faithful. There might not be a huge dropoff in sales for a while in this case. Message | Report |

@Darwinianevolution I'd predict till holiday season at very worst. MK8D bundles will definitely help the sales. It's hard to predict if this will actually outsell BOTW though. BOTW hype is dying out but I still expect 5m lifetime on Switch. Can't say the same for MK8D. But if the Switch ends up being a massive success both of these games could hit 10 million with bundles.
