ryuzaki57, Bioware recently released a whole bunch of Collectors Edition items so that might have something to do with it.

I just noticed ME3 on PS3 is very similar to ME2 pre-orders for 360. I wonder if it'll keep tracking that way for the remaining 9 weeks.

I'm fairly certain Xenoblade is overtracked, sadly. I hope it isn't, but I just don't see it having so many pre-orders at this time. Heck, at this rate, its first week in NA could be double the first week it saw in the rest of the world combined!

It deserves the success. Great game.

Slow week for pre-ordes. Around 10'000 more till Luigi's Mansion 2 gets to 100'000 pre-orders! Very surprising! :-D

If the demo is a success FFXIII-2 could pass FFXIII preorders as soon as next week (^o^)/ Insane week for both ME3 and FFXIII-2, has anything happened!!?

Ham_Burgular (on 11 January 2012)

Thats pretty good for FFXIII-2 it could have a week 1 over 500,000 in US.

Mass Effect 3 is pretty much the most anticipated game of 2012.Expecting 1mil pre-orders.

Seems my comment didn't appear. Basically if you go look at the pre-order totals for ff13 and ME2, and any other game being compared to, it seems that what is listed as the total here is in fact 2 weeks before launch, not the last week. So for example FF13-2 is actually 97k away from passing FF13. Explanation or fix it please.

Why is this getting thumbed down -_-? The charts here clearly state weeks to launch. However they have all been shifted one week forward for the older games. So 1 week to launch on the graphs here is actually 2 weeks to launch. It's completely misrepresenting the data.

People preorder Mario Party 9? Why?

XIII-2 could have bigger opening than XIII but I think it will die rather quickly.

Im sure FFXIII-2 could sell more than 1m first week in NA

I put a plus one on your comment, cause I agree that Europe won't be too kind to it. :)

Ok I show up, there is little reason why Europe would be different. In France the PS3 cristal edition is already sold out and the collector's edition also knows shortages.

Hard to say yet. Keep in mind that FF13-2 has a load of pre-order bonuses. Whereas I don't remember ff13 having in game items. May simply be a higher percentage of pre-orders compared to walk in buys.
