I believe you'll find this is the americas preorders, the only region in which the 360 actually does better than PS3 anymore. And by better, I mean a lot better, Uncharted 3 is a first day buy for me, and I will be preordering it this week personally, in my opinion it seems to be the best game for this holiday season, it's beta was some of the best gameplay I've ever had the pleasure of playing :)

Jedidiah-Rose you liked the Beta? I don't think you play multiplayer a lot.

Personally I think the only PS3 exclusives with good multiplayer are Killzone, Resistance, and MGS. Even then Killzone is the only one I'd play long term.

Uncharted is a 1 player shooter/AA game. People buy it for that, and that's what it will sell for. Not the online.

Looks like Forza Motorsport 4 pre-orders have already topped Forza Motorsport 3's and it still has 3 more weeks to go for 200k. Series has strong legs, I hope this one breaks 5 million before bundles come in.

yahoocom1984 ARTHURIUSS (on 26 September 2011)

Mass effect 3 won't sell many copies, you know... Look at you Mass effect 2 360 version only sold 2.5 million while Oblivion manages to pass 3.5 million c

  • -1
yahoocom1984 ARTHURIUSS (on 26 September 2011)

Beseides, Masse effect 3 got delayed that's why it got preorders. ME3 got delayed because of Skyrim

  • -1
hudsoniscool ARTHURIUSS (on 01 October 2011)

mass effect 2 will pass 3 million eventually on 360. also dude shut up with that. mass effect 3 didnt get delayed cause of skyrim it was because the game wasnt going to be ready 21 months after ME2 and maybe they didnt want to release it so close to SWTOR(december).

ME 2 will do 3 million on 360 and maybe 1 million on ps3.
ME3 3.5 million 360 1.5 million ps3. If it has multiplayer and its actually really good 4 million on 360.

oh and the point of pre ordering is so you can make sure you get the game on the day of release even if the the store has more copies than that is pre ordered they usually don't sell them to people that didn't pre order them. These stores include WalMart, Best Buy, Target, KMart, Gamestop, and PlayNTrade. Trust me i have tried at most of these stores they say the same thing come back tomorrow to get the game.

NightDragon83 (on 26 September 2011)

I still don't understand the point of preordering... are you guys that hard up for those bonus character outfits or weapon layouts at Gamestop or something?!?

Back in the day (like during the SNES and N64 days) it made sense to preorder a game to ensure yourself a copy, especially around the holidays since their launch availability wasn't nearly as much as it is today for the average big title. Today you can walk into any store on launch day and pick up a copy of whatever game you want. I have yet to go into any store on launch day and be told that they were sold out of whatever game I was looking for.

  • -3
enrageorange NightDragon83 (on 26 September 2011)

some of the bigger titles do end up being sold out in certain store but mostly people preorder the game for the bonuses. If you are getting the game before it gets a pricedrop might as well get a few nice perks as well.

  • +2
kivi95 NightDragon83 (on 26 September 2011)

Feel the same here. And 'IF ' I preorder a game it's just 1 week before launch or something. But i don't see why people pre-order a game months before the releases.

How many preorders did Halo 3:ODST have 8 weeks before lauch? Halo: CEA isn't doing as well as ODST did I think.

Michael-5 Kizmi (on 27 September 2011)

4 weeks before launch, ODST was at 450k pre-orders, and it added 48k that week.

I think Halo CEA will be just above ODST when it's the 4 week mark, but remember CEA is launching November, where ODST was a September launch, so I'd expect pre-orders to be higher.
