Epic Would Love To Put the Gears of War Franchise On PS3

too bad it wont see a Sony console ever, Microsoft ain't that stupid

I would get Gears if it came to ps3, and im sure millions of others would as well. Sony, get to chattin with Epic darn it! Theres no way Sony cant realize the importance of the Gears franchise coming to ps3 in their position in the console race.

Nah, Cliffy just hates the DS3 controller, that's why Gears will never come to PS3. :D I haven't played Gears 2, but from what I can tell from Gears 1 on PC, it's an awesome IP. As soon as Gears 2/3 comes out for PS3 or PC, I'm gonna get it.

sony go to hell! Gears of war is only as good as it is because its on the xbox 360! PS3 controllers suck anyway, and the experience would never be as good! PS3 can never do gears any justice!

I don't play Gears or much FPS, but Gears on PS3 would be a nice addition. As for Epic they will probably keep the game in Xbox as they have more benefits than multiplating now.

whats the point of bringing a 2006 game to ps3 around near the end of the consoles lifespan? I say keep it to the 360, the last thing 360 needs specially RIGHT NOW is to lose another exclusive...I mean for god sakes gears and forza are the only games they have to look forward to exclusively and they are gonna lose it?

@APKenna Microsoft and Apple are closer than Apple and Sony, check any apple conference almost and you will see Microsoft featured in some way. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates are too close for them to be at each others throats. Plus the biggest thread for Apple is not the console business but phone and Google is at the forefront of that, Ms and Apple will somehow combat Android together imo. But enough about that. Ms have plenty to "brag" about. This is one game that isnt even multi plat. Ms have many exclusive franchises, you people need to relax haha.

PS3 Only owner here, we don't need it, and if this were to happened, I would feel very sorry for 360 owners not having a reason to brag about their console anymore. After ME2 jumped into PS3, there's no reason for GoW series to come along, and why would anyone would want to own a 360 anymore, but this might end the pointless "console wars". But I also have a solution, Sony and Microsoft should form an alliance, Sony would make the Hardware while Microsoft would focus all attention on the software and make it un-hackable. I do have a prediction too, considering that Apple and Sony are "bussiness partners" through the BDA... I would think they both may get together and bring a console like no other, now this would be interesting.

@ Hyruken Uncharted would never come to 360 because Sony actually does own it. As Epic has said on several occasions, they completely own GeoW, not MS. @ OP I think this may happen, but probably at the end of this gen or it may be saved for next gen. And something tells me Sony is going to find the right balance between price, power, and development ease next gen which is going to give them an edge. And considering Sony has WAY more first party studios and game IPs than MS, MS is going to have its work cut out for them next gen.

I would love for the exclusives to end. I own both ps3 and 360 and there both awsome! It would be like, just chose the one that most suits you and play great games! And I also would like if they shared the same servers so both could play each other on multiplayer! Bbut I guess that is just like Thomas moores "Utopia", NEVER GONNA HAPPEN! Oh well....

I would buy all three. I'd buy the first two again, just for trophies. Gears is awesome, and I own a 360, but the more people who can enjoy it the better. Exclusivity is going to be in house first parties by the next generation. Well, unless either Sony or Microsoft opens their wallets and pays out for it, but even then I think it would be timed exclusivity. That being said, I don't expect to see Gears on PS3 anytime soon, but it would be nice.

As a PS3 owner i dont want the Gears franchise to go multiplat. Gears is one of the titles that defines the 360 and since the beginning of this gen there hasnt been many 3rd party titles that help define and differentiate a console and i miss that.

Thank god for my PS3 , 360 exclusives this year suck, Gears is all they have, and I could care less about Kinect, Im not a dancer or a singer, Im a gamer, Its PS move all the way !!, I dont care if gears comes to PS3, they have enough great shooters, and I already have a 360

there are lots of exclusiv 360 games this year-if you like kinect. I think it wouldn"t be a good idea to lose gears after mass effect. "microsoft have given us real good"?-i suppose he means lots of money. minimum 2 million sold ps3 gears would mean:70 million gain. But i don"t understand why such a big title isn"t owned by MS.If they lose Gear there will only be boring fable and crackdown(1st part was great 2nd part was a fullprize add on,4 year for such a sad sequel)

This gen, unless a game is owned by a console manufacturer, "exclusive" means "timed exclusive" (or, for Square-Enix, "multiplatform" :-P)

I wonder if Insomniac Games feels the same way about Resistance. Sega could easily do a Valkyria Chronicles 1 -3 Collectors Edition for the XBox 360. I'd buy that. I still don't know why Microsoft hasn't bought SEGA and EA yet. Buy those 2 companies and you'll have exclusives forever and ever.

I am pretty certain i remember CliffyB saying that Gears was and always will be a MS exclusive due to the fact they co own it? And this is the beauty of owning both consoles, I don't miss out on any of my favorite franchises because it is an exclusive. That said, if the 360 were to ever lose the Gears franchise as an exclusive, it would be a major, major blow to the console. While I find that XBL is better than PSn (because of the features, XBL is not faster or technically superior, it just has better community features), and sometime ago the multi plats were much better on Xbox (not so much now, they're about equal now a days), it is the exclusives and their popularity that sale consoles. People will be able to deal with less features and slightly under derveloped games on any console, if it has the best exclusives. It could kill the Xbox as a console brand, it would be that big of a blow, because it would only have Halo and Fable as its big name, console selling aka reasons why to get this over the other console, exclusives. And seeing how I never cared for Halo. and neither does a large base of the 360 (yes it sold a ton, but not every one that has a 360 bought halo), and how my feelings for Fable have become less than optimistic or desireable, this would effectively kill the Xbox for, I would have no reason to own one anymore.

Someone from Epic will be on the Sony E3 stage, like Gabe Newell last year, and announcing the Gears of War trilogy on the PS3...mark my words...that, or a exclusive for the PS3. What Mike Capps said in that interview is, all Sony has to do is ask for Gears, and it will there. I would love for that to happen, i would laugh like a maniac. No, i don´t have a PS3, yes, i have a 360, and i know that MS needs to lose EVERYTHING for them to wake up and smell the roses, because their problem is...THEY DON'T CARE

unless MS will pay them 100mln $ GOW 4 will be multiplatform on next gens.i think that is what is written between lines.Epic wont to make money so either MS will compensate them sales of GOW on PS4 or it will be multiplatform.

$$$$ If Gears went multi-platform, then I would see no reason getting a successor MS console over a PS4. I can like without Halo and Forza and the handful of smaller franchise exclusives... Then again if the Xbox 720 had an arcade edition that was $130 on Boxing Day, I'd buy it.

Well, MGS grased the Xbox, Gears could do the same. The trilogy IMO will never arrive on the PS3, but a multiplatform spinoff/reeboot is not out of question.

I doubt Gears of War 1, 2, and 3 will ever come to PS3, but future games in the series might. Unless MS keeps making it "worthwhile" to be Xbox exclusive.

If gears goes to PS3 then xbox literally has nothing left. Halo isn't as groundbreaking as it used to be and definitely shouldn't be regarded as a console seller anymore. This and Fable are the only Xbox games I feel I'm missing out on.
