And I thought I'd add some extra clarification to my last comment: I am somewhat more interested in Kinect than Move myself with the current software available, but I'm not ready to drop money on either of these peripherals, that's what I meant when I said "I don't care for either Move or Kinect."

  • 0
huaxiong90 (on 27 August 2010)

That didn't even make any sense. But if you're going to dodge my original point, then that just goes to show you have no argument, which means we're just beating a dead horse at this point.

oni-link (on 27 August 2010)

I still don't remember you hua and I don't know what I would be debating you about MGS4 either? LOL I must have made quite an impact for not being taken seriously...LOL

  • 0
huaxiong90 (on 26 August 2010)

I meant "Reviewers. PS biased." *

  • 0
huaxiong90 (on 25 August 2010)

Opinions have no place for a claim as ludicrous as yours. PS reviewers. Biased. That's the most lol-worthy statement I've seen in a long time. Get real.

And for the record, I personally don't care for either Move or Kinect, because the software for both is unappealing or has already been done before.

hua

chill man don't get a heart attack it's just my humble opinion...LMAO!!! Honestly though Kinect will be more exciting than a Wii- Rip off that is PS Move. Also, I don't remember the MGS4 crap that you are talking about...Sorry!!!

  • 0
huaxiong90 (on 25 August 2010)

Actually, who am I kidding, I stopped taking you seriously on that MGS4 topic a long time ago. But this takes the cake.

  • 0
huaxiong90 (on 25 August 2010)

oni-link: EPIC FACEPALM. Seriously, how do you expect me to take you seriously when you say "Reviewers are PS biased"? Never mind the fact that the whole rip-off logic also applies to Kinect and the Eyetoy. PS Biased reviewers? Are you out of your mind? Or just desperate for an argument?

  • 0
Ping_ii (on 25 August 2010)

LMAO @ the fanatics.

Psmove is a Wii clone and kinect is not eyetoy rip-off?

If anything the biggest joke here is kinect with it's bullshit PR promises from the day it was revealed up till now it still is a laggy ass device that is full of shovelwares.

"Kinectimals" is enough to prove that kinect is no different than a "me too" device.

  • 0
oni-link (on 25 August 2010)

@hua

Those critics are known for favoring Sony since the days of PS1, but for everyone else it's just a Wii rip-off and always will. Kinect, on the other hand will not be in the shadow of anyone!

  • 0
huaxiong90 (on 24 August 2010)

And who is "everyone"? Last time I checked, critics were actually praising Move. If you think it's a joke, that's fine, but you don't speak for "everyone".

  • 0
oni-link (on 24 August 2010)

@primo

that's why I'll be Kinecting on day one while I won't be Moving to Sony anytime soon!!!

  • 0
primogen18 (on 24 August 2010)

I think sony move is probably the biggest joke of the generation. Kinect looks pretty cool, but everyone laughs at sony move.

@yo

Chill man you sound like a whinny anti-Wii fanboy!!! I will be getting Other M as it is another evolution of Metroid; and it looks well polished from all the previews so far!!! The Wii being a fad is such an HD fanboy cliche (along with my Wii gathering dust) that's so old I and many Wii and Nintendo fans actually find it funny!!! I have Sony fanboys as friends and they often visit Nintendo and non-Nintendo sites and posts the same thing you do to enrage Nintendo fans. For a time it worked but now it's getting old. I'm sorry you and your many, many friends gave up on the Wii and I'm sure you really gave it a chance. Now enjoy your Wii clone like the Sony Move and Move on with your life. Hey I heard Sony might have problems with software sales pretty soon as it's PS3 has finally been hacked!!! Looks like Sony is looking at another PSP situation IMHO!

yomammaluva (on 24 August 2010)

@oni-link
I bought the Corruption and Trilogy, but I wont be getting Other M. I gave up on my Wii and so did pretty much all my friends. The Wii was just a fad and people dont like it much. I am pretty sure Other M wont have nearly as many sales as Prime.

  • 0
oni-link (on 24 August 2010)

A decent pre-orders # for Metroid: Other M. probably due mostly to the $20 pre-orders bonus that many retailers are giving out in order to promote retail sales instead of illegal downloads. Prime 3 was robbed of retail sales from illegal downloads that vastly outnumbered sales. Nintendo should have really secured their system a lot more and is now facing an uphill battle on piracy! Here's hoping to a 200K-300K , 4 week opener for Other M in the Americas!!!

Only the most hardcore of the hardcore Halo fans are doing that. The vast majority of purchases will be singles.

cool8man (on 23 August 2010)

The casual games coming out for the move are terrible. Sony is the only company putting out casual games for the device. On the otherhand Kinect has a great lineup of casual games with mass appeal like Dance Central (Harmonix), Kinect Sports (Rare), Your Shape Fitness Evolved (Ubi), Kinectimals, Deca Sports (Hudson), Harry Potter (EA), Sonic (Sega), etc. These types of games will get thumbs up from kids, girls, mothers, and families.

Sony on the otherhand just has a bunch of lame repurposed Eyetoy games where they put video of you in the game and you swat at things. And the strategy of trying to replace the dualshock controller in hardcore games with the Move wand is a total failure when you realize how much lag the wand has. Motion controls are only appropriate for casual games which is why Kinect is in so much better of a position than Move. Hardcore gamers don't want to throw out their dualshock controllers for a silly glowing wand, so the appeal for Move is extremely limited.

Baalzamon (on 23 August 2010)

@GuiltySpartan: I think you're going to be really surprised with Kinect.

Here's why: It appears like Kinect will considerably beat out Move right away, and I would have to completely agree with this. Here's the thing though, I truly believe Move will be just like a Gran Turismo game, it will have massive legs that will in the end, make it above, at least a little, if not by quite a sum, Kinect.

The reason I say this is it seems to me as if Move is getting way more support than Kinect. Kinect seems to focus on games that are coming out specifically for Kinect (my opinion). Move, on the other hand (also my opinion), seems to focus on just being a sweet add-on to a lot of games, but also having games specifically for it. It seems like Move is getting a lot more titles that will be compatible with it right away.

I cannot wait to see you cry when you realize just how wrong you are lol
O and Fable3 is also popular in Europe you know, So dont underestimate it
HALO:REACH wil be an Epic game, So it deserves these sales

Everyone knows Kinect will outsell move and to the guy that said move will out sell kinect in EMEAA what a moron i mean really maybe japan but not Europe or America Move looks like a flop

Damn u will eat ur own word november 10 mate.

  • 0
TheFlyingDutchman (on 23 August 2010)

@ welshbloke: only in America. Worldwide it will be much different.
Here in Europe's mainland people aren't that excited about MS's stuff anymore.
Move will sell a lot more in Japan and in EMEAA, Kinect will sell more in America (if it doesn't get burned after the release).

  • 0
welshbloke (on 23 August 2010)

GT5 could actually be overhauled by Kinect Adventures! Never saw that coming.

  • 0
dreamcast210 (on 23 August 2010)

11 weeks to go and 91,000 preorders for "Kinect Adventures!". 3 weeks to go and 23,000 preorders for "Sports Champions". These are both bundled games, and currently, we can see that Kinect, by the numbers, should sell way more than Move.

  • 0
--OkeyDokey-- (on 23 August 2010)

@ Ping

Um, these preorder charts are for America only.

GT4: 770k
Fable II: 720k

NOT big difference. Of course GT5 will obliterate Fable III worldwide but in America it will be close.

@TheFlyingDutchman

I like my RTSs Command and Conquery and my FPSs Haloy.

Starcraft 2 is that Korean thing right? ;)

  • 0
TheFlyingDutchman (on 23 August 2010)

@ kain_kusanagi: Reach is the most anticipated game of 2010 for the 360, Starcraft 2 is THE most anticipated game of 2010.
@ Falcon204: Those 37 million includes almost all the people who bought the rest of the GT's.

Another shooter trying to break a record on the 360, what a surprise ...
Kinect is failing all over the world (unless you coun't small presentations in trucks) and still America is pre-ordering ...

  • 0

idk why i'm excited that halo reach can pass cod preorders :D but anyways i want it to pass it first week sales

Halo Reach is doing incredible. Easily the most anticipated game of the year. I can't wait. I preordered the Legendary Edition.

  • 0
MrT-Tar (on 23 August 2010)

Golden Sun lost sales?

Who the hell would do that?

  • 0
Falcon204 (on 23 August 2010)

You cant expect GT5 to have anywhere near as many sales as the previous titles. Yes GT 3 and 4 sold incredibly well because there was over 100 million potential buyers. GT 5 only has 37 million potential buyers at this stage and i dont think the ps3 will sell as many consoles as the ps2 at the end of the generation so expectations shouldn't be as high.

  • 0
heruamon (on 23 August 2010)

Wow...Kinect is pre-ordered near 100K...hmm...I think some of the 360 haters are AGAIN going to be disappointed when it is reelased. As it currently stands, it looks like Halo Reach will surpass COD2 on 360, as I expected last year...

  • 0
binary solo (on 23 August 2010)

I'd say start worrying about GT5's potential to reach past GT sales in USA if we keep seeing pre-orders at this level within the last 6-8 weeks before launch (when advertising should really get going). At the moment it's coasting. Regardless, GT5 is going to have the biggest launch week of any "serious" racer this gen. Probably only beaten by MK Wii if all racing games are considered (and beaten by a large margin too). remember this is ONLY America.

Well done Fable III.

Mafia 2 looking to have a rather modest opening, I wonder how the legs will go.

  • 0
Ping_ii (on 23 August 2010)

@Okey

GT4 = 2.5m first week
fable 2 = 1m first week

difference is big.........

anyways thats not my point, my point is WHERE IS THE MARKETING PUSH FOR GT5??????!! hell even kinect is already being advertised ffs. =(

  • 0
Lazthelost (on 23 August 2010)

Halo Reach is going to break records this year!

  • 0
--OkeyDokey-- (on 23 August 2010)

@ Ping

Fable II had similar first week sales to past GT games. Not sure why you seem to think GT5 should be blowing its sequel away.

  • 0
Ping_ii (on 22 August 2010)

GT5 is suffering from a diseas called "Last min advertising", its said to be a common diseas that plegs ps3 games....=.=

seriously Sony WTF.............fable 3 higher pre-order than PS3's highest selling IP? MARKET YOUR GAMES FOR ONCE!
