Michael Jackson Set to Rock All Consoles Holiday 2010

Ubisoft's press conference ended with a dance-off to Michael Jackson's "Beat It," with a mimed knife fight and everything.  While this is always a welcome way to end any conference, it also happened to coincide with the announcement of Ubisoft's upcoming Michael Jackson video game.  There is singing.  There is dancing.  There will be moonwalking.

So far they've confirmed both "Beat It" and "Billie Jean," but the game will include smash hits, dance moves, and performances from throughout his career.  Maybe you can moonwalk, but can you do it the way MJ did in 1983?

Ubisoft has the Michael Jackson Estate on board of course, and John Branca, one of the co-executors, added this in a press release: "Michael always pushed every limit when it came to technology to give his fans unforgettable entertainment experiences, whether it involved his videos, his recordings or his concerts.  Now, with this interactive product, we have the chance to bring Michael, the artist, into households around the world in a perfect match of Michael’s artistry and the family entertainment which he always highly valued."

Michael Jackson: The Game, will be coming to the DS, PS3, PSP, Wii, and XBox 360 this Holiday season.  It will also work with Microsoft's Kinect and Sony's Move controller.

If Microsoft bundles this game with Kinect they could sell loads.

This should be a great game. I'm looking forward to it.

i think this will be best played on Kinect because you wont have to hold anything while singing or dancing.

@ ACE. I believe they do, which means Sony is going to get profits from everything on this one.

Isn't MJ signed under BMG which is owned by Sony???

Be interesting to see whether a MJ Singstar might appear at a later date. As far as dancing like MJ is concerned, even though I can't stand his music, he must be acknowledged as one of the all time greatest pop dancers. Dance elements will be primarily for comedic value, seeing people trying and failing to dance like MJ.

@joel - yes, yes they will.

Mine. Only decision is to get it on PS3 or Wii. Have to wait and see the differences.
