Announcement: Spread VGChartz Campaign - News

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, as you very well know VGChartz has been expanding greatly over the last few months and VGChartz 2.0 is just around the corner. To celebrate VGChartz's growth and future we the VGChartz staff invite our userbase to use your creative genius in-order to Spread VGChartz to the masses.
Today we announce the beginning of the Spread VGChartz Campaign in which you, our faithful readers, help us expand the site to the rest of the world through any means legally possible where you live. Using your individual talents to express your view of VGChartz by creating your own forms of visual representations that you display to the world that speaks "This is VGChartz, this is why you should be here".
The theme of this campaign is "Its Coming.. 2.0" to celebrate the next evolution of this great site and ever growing community of gamers.
All photos and videos submitted will be posted in a weekly update that will go into VGChartz's history books in memory of our community. Let your creative juices flow for this, just keep it legal folks. Don't go spray painting VGChartz.com rules all over someone's fence or changing someone's message sign without the owner's consent.
The overall goal of this is to spread the site's good name to every gamer possible in your local area so we can take one of the greatest communities for gamers and make it even greater.
To submit your creations to the weekly update article to pr @vgchartz.com or to any of the PR staff members listed on the staff page.
Here are two ideas to Spread VGChartz:
- Someone could be carving out the VGC logo into a large piece of wood, nailing some fliers to it, and sticking it in front of your business' office (with your boss's permission of course).
- You could also just print out some fliers and hand them out at your local LAN Center.
Rules:
- Be creative, even making a flier - make sure it is awesome.
- Keep everything legal. VGChartz doesn't want members of our community arrested on our behalf.
This campaign will end the last week of May. Any further campaigning is greatly appreciated but will not be associated with the official Spread VGChartz Campaign.

Will VGChartz 2.0 have motion controls?
You should have something for the community to measure our success against; a goal if you will.
You suggested that a 20% increase (minimum) in community members would be considered good. How about a front page thermometer or something, that goes up as new members join? Like when the local school is trying to raise money for a new playground or something; that kind of vibe. People enjoy a visual representation of their efforts when nothing tangible is really at stake.
Just a though.

apparently in france it's legal to sequestrate your boss in his office....(happened about 5 times since march with no one lifting a finger...) I guess my reclamation will be that everybody should got to VGChartz.com

Later today we will be making an official forum thread which will include pre-made posters for anyone who isnt very creative to help Spread VGChartz. The thread will also be used to keep track of people's creations if they feel like submitting their works in progress for public viewing.

@llewdebkram - Brett will never sell out. To answer your question on what it is worth to you. Figure that if we can expand our community by at minimum 20% could you imagine all the new fresh faces we will have here to enjoy discussing video games with? Its all about the community my friend.

I don't want to feel betrayed when it's a big site and sold to some greedy multinational company in a few years, so what do I get out of this?

I see right through this. An article this week was posted about the worth of this website and then bam they want to increase traffic to increase their sites worth. /sarcasm/ This is a great idea to try and spread the word. Hopefully it works out well and we can get many new members to join.
