He already announced this on Twitter that he CEOKaz was going to be stopping by E3 this year, him and his fantastic tweets shall be missed.
Kaz has really turned Sony around and made ir a company which is trustworthy. I am a bit worried abou the new xhaps reforms. He iis a CFO, so hes good at counting money, so probably we are looking at cost cuts.
The guy stuffed up with the PS3 however turned it all around with the PS4. Good job. Leaving on a good note is the best thing to do.
I just learned who the ceo was and he is gone already.
a bit too early for April fools no?
He's done a great job over the years in his various positions. I'll be sad to see him go.
He did great with the PS4 but hasn't been able to expand other parts of Sony or do much to curb the crumble. Lots of layoffs. Sony is an overall smaller company now than when he took over. It's not the PS4 division, but rather the rest of Sony.
That was his plan from day 1. To shrink Sony, to better handle the divisions that actually could be and would be profitable. So, you're spot on. Sony has also returned to profit overall with him at the helm. So. I think they'll take that. Much better position now than when he took over.
I read he had done a lot of great work to get some of Sony's poor ventures to improve, too. Too bad.
Like some elaborate April Fools joke?
That's the first day of Sony's next fiscal year. Which is always confusing, because they make tons of announcements that day as well.
