PS4 Vs. Wii U Japan:
Gap change in latest month: 120,620 – PS4
Gap change over last 12 months: 439,883 – PS4
Total Lead: 479,094 – Wii U
PS4 Total Sales: 2,646,371
Wii U Total Sales: 3,125,465
In its 29th month on sale in Japan the PlayStation 4 gained 120,620 units on the Wii U. The Wii U is now 439,883 units ahead of the PlayStation 4. As the above chart shows the PlayStation 4 is gradually but consistently closing the gap. The PlayStation 4 has sold 2.65 million units, while the Wii U has sold 3.13 million units.
The Wii U launched in Japan on December 8th, 2012, while the PlayStation 4 launched on February 22nd, 2014.
