PS4 SDK Updated to Allow Access to 7th CPU Core - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 30 November 2015 / 6,659 ViewsSony has updated the PlayStation 4 SDK to give developers access to another core that was previously unused.
"Core 6 is now denoted as shared, and for new captures, Razor splits the activity on that core between user and system," reads the update from Sony. "Old captures still show core 6 as a system core, as was accurate at the time they were made."
Core 6 is the seventh core that has been unlocked for developers. Previously, the available cores were listed as 0 to 5, according to sources that spoke with VG24/7. The PlayStation 4 has eight cores in total.

Wait. So the first core is actually labeled Core 0?
I just want to be able to access the store more then 50% of the time.. Several updates and still an issue.. and this is NOT just an issue for me.. (google it)..
It happens on the Vita for me as well.
It's such a weird situation when you want to literally give a company your money but their infrastructure is so badly designed that it won't allow it. I can use Steam and Xbox Live on the 360 fine. The PS Store badly needs reprogramming across all formats.
I've never has a problem getting on the store with PS4. PS3 on the other hand, lagged like crazy every time.
What regions you guys with the errors in? I've had Vita issues a few times after psn+ games are launched but never to the point where restarting the system and going back to it don't allow me in to buy shit.
I often have to try multiple times to connect to the ps store with the Vita. Probably 25-30% of the time. PS3 and PS4 give me some trouble too. The store was STILL better before the big revision some 6 years ago than it is now. Also, the Vita has no shopping cart, rendering codes like the 10% off code from this week useless on the Vita. HOW FUCKING DIFFICULT WOULD IT BE TO HAVE A CART ON THE VITA PS STORE? Not difficult at all.
You ever visit the psn store site? can use that also for shopping for vita games, add up to 10 to the basket and apply the 10digit discount codes, then just go to the store on the Vita and hit download list, pick what you want to download from your purchases.
To clarify I mean psn store website on the PC.
@ganoncrotch. Yeah, I know you can do that, but there are times when using the vita is my only option. And dowloading directly to the Vita is always less of a hassle than using a pc or PS3 to download, then transfer. Besides that, I think the cart option should just be there. Thanks for the reply though.
aye np, I agree a cart would be cool but when you start to get 'unable to connect to server' issue I'm happy with being able to buy 1 thing heh. atho to be fair psn is currently getting some attention from annoying script kiddies as well as 1/2m or so new customers using psn after black friday so imma give um some slack while they get it sorted and until the 'hackers' mum's send um to bed before Santa comes 😃
Nice competition. XBO UI is significantly faster now so they are doing this to even it up I assume.
Or this could have nothing to do with XBO.
