SuperData: Fallout 4 Sold 1.87M Units Digitally in 3 Days - News

by William D'Angelo , posted on 16 November 2015 / 4,183 Views

Fallout 4 sold 1.87 million units digitally in its first three days on sale, according to SuperData Research.

Of that figure 1.2 million units of the game were activated through Steam, while the remainder were sold through the PlayStation Network and Xbox One digital storefronts.

SuperData's Joost van Dreunen notes that this amounts to about $100 million in revenue. He added that PC gamers don't "exclusively purchase games at a huge discount and instead prove themselves willing to shell out full price for select titles".

Digital is hard to get, Steam should make an OFFICIAL PUBLIC page for all the sales. This way, things would be clear out :).

So we know Fallout 4 shipped 12m in ONE day on all platforms and only sold 0.67m digitally on XBL and PSN in THREE days, its funny when people say digital sales on consoles is gonna overtake physical lol.

Shipped is not the same thing as sold to customers.

I think that it is going to happen eventually, not 100% as people like physical, but it is growing at a steady rate. In five years the image would be different

Digital looks to be taking over physical in the console space it seems, slowly but surely though.

woh, someone is getting digital data finally?! does that mean VGChartz can finally collect all the info it needs? Or will they ignore digital still?

But I keep getting told that PC gamers only buy games at huge discounts though, and years later too....
