Fallout 4 Sets Steam Record for a Non-Valve Game

Fallout 4 Sets Steam Record for a Non-Valve Game - News

by William D'Angelo , posted on 10 November 2015 / 4,394 Views

Less than 24 hours after its release Fallout 4 has already set a new record on Steam amongst non-Valve games.

The game currently sits at a peak of 431,608 current players.

The previous record for peak current players for a non-Valve game was set by Grand Theft Auto V when it launched in April. It peaked at 196,700 players. However, Grand Theft Auto V doesn't actually require Steam on PC, whereas Fallout 4 does.

Thanks VG24/7.

Aside from the bugs its seems like a great game. Hopefully Bethesda patches the game up.

Great sales are abound with Fallout. PC version seems to be the most stable and Fallout has it's roots stem from the platform so I would expect good sales for a long time.

Nice two records for steam this year, I wonder if GTA required steam if it would be any different.
