Following rumours in March that Phil Harrison would be leaving the firm, Microsoft has now officially confirmed his departure.
Harrison, who joined Microsoft as a corporate vice president in 2012 after having previously been an executive at Sony, was charged with growing the Xbox brand in Europe and oversaw Microsoft's UK-based studios, including Lionhead Studios and Rare Ltd. During his time with Microsoft, Harrison was also influential in the founding of Lift London.

What do you mean crap? Harrison was part of the godly Big Three at Sony. Kutaragi, Hirai and Harrison led the strongest part of PlayStation history with PS1 and PS2. Yes, they slipped up in 2006 with the PS3, but were apparently just too supportive of taking risks and it was a bad time to make such a huge financial risk like the PS3 was.
He's the reason things like Ico, Shadow, God of War and many many others saw release, because without his support. They would likely not see the light of day.
