Yakuza 0 Sells 245K First Week in Japan - Article

The prequel to the Yakuza series, Yakuza 0, hit store shelves in Japan on March 12. The game has sold 244,673 units at retail in its first week on sale for the week ending March 15, 2015, according to the VGChartz Japan Weekly Chart.

Yakuza 0 was released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 3 version sold 150,644 units, while the PlayStation 4 version sold 94,029 units.

The Yakuza series will be 10 years old this December and has sold 6.7 million units at retail when you add in first week sales for Yakuza 0. The series is developed and published by Sega.
