World of Warcraft Subscriptions Jump 600K Ahead of Warlords of Draenor Expansion - News

World of Warcraft's latest expansion Warlords of Draenor will be hitting store shelves on November 13. Ahead of its release subscriptions for World of Warcraft jumped by 600,000 to 7.4 million units.
Activision Blizzard normally waits until its quarterly report to release subscription numbers for World of Warcraft. Numbers for the game have decreased consistently since the last expansion released. In the quarter ending June 30 the total number of subscriptions dropped by 800,000.
Warlords of Draenor had hit 1.5 million pre-orders on June 30 and that number has continued to grow. Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter has stated that the total number of subscriptions will only continue to increase.

yep, When I quit a few years ago they were at 12 million subs, nothing I have seen since has given me the slightest desire to return combined with all but one of my friends have also quit.
