PS4 vs Xbox One vs Wii U Lifetime Sales – September 2014 Update - News

Looking at the total sales of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Wii U in September shows how the PS4 continues to widen the gap compared to its competitors. The gap between the Wii U and Xbox One also shrunk. The PlayStation 4 passed the 11 million mark this month. The PS4 has sold 11.45 million units lifetime, the Xbox One 5.79 million units, and the Wii U 7.35 million units.
PlayStation 4 Total Sales: 11,447,553
Xbox One Total Sales: 5,786,090
Wii U Total Sales: 7,354,623

The PlayStation 4 continued to outsell the Xbox One and Wii U for another month. The Xbox One outsold the Wii U in September for the second straight month. The Xbox One outsold the Wii U by 456,578 units. The PS4 sold 1,242,403 units in September, the Xbox One 677,854 units, and the Wii U 221,276 units.

The Wii U beat the PS4 and Xbox One to the market by a year. The Wii U launched in November 2012, while the PS4 and Xbox One launched in November 2013.
