This game was a remake to the classic Final Fantasy IV. From it's original release as Final Fantasy II on the SNES, then re-release on the PS1 and GBA, it has finally made its way to the Nintendo DS. The story of the game follows Cecil, the Commander of the Red Wings for the Kingdom of Baron. You see him grow constantly as a person throghout the story and is truly a likable protagonist. The beautiful graphics and cutscenes make it feel like a new game entirely. The inclusion of cutscenes at pivotal moments in the game and voice acting just add more feeling and give the characters life. The overall difficulty of the game has been increased in this gamers opinion, as one can not just rush through the story, you got to train sometime. The music has also been redone for the DS installment of the game, and it turned out wonderfully. If you are a Final Fantasy fan I highly recommend the game, it was done masterfully, and hopefully we can expect more remakes of classic games in the new style that they chose for this title.

I was hoping this game would do well so they could port FF v and VI to the ds and 3ds but I guess they're only going to do Dragon quest remakes. Message | Report |

Ok, I just wasted 40 hours on this game. Now I know for sure that Final Fantasy is not for me. It was as much fun as going to the dentist, complete with reading the cheesiest dime novel in the waiting room. Message | Report |

I wonder what the sales would have been with the others data. Message | Report |
