@kopstudent89 you are wrong, if 126k is the NPD number, then (assuming you believe NPD numbers more than VGC) the VGC overtracking is by 7k, not 20k. VGC numbers for the US (as opposed to all of America) were 133k. Message | Report |

Personally think the wiimote and nunchuck controls are a perfect blend of buttons and movement. They are very intuitive and easy to grasp at least for me but I play lots of Wii games :) Phenomenal game using any control method and should be in your library if it isn't yet. Message | Report |

@awesome well it takes a bit to get used to them. I played with both Classic(excellent) and also the wiimote combo, the wii controls take far longer than one night to master but eventually it will be natural to you(make sure to turn the shake-sheathe off) Message | Report |

Perhaps you guys are correct about the legs, but I've seen plenty of good games not have phenomenal legs. The reason we all remember Modern Warfare is that it really is exceptional. @AwesomeElmo: The Classic Controller is a big improvement over the standard Wiimote/Nunchuk. I played this game last night. The game overall is quite good but the controls are a big disappointment. I haven't played using the classic controller but I can't see it being much better personally. Capcom really needs to work on its understanding of the wii controls if they really want to hit the ball out of the park with one of their games. Message | Report |

@hellraider The price did drop pretty quick on MH3 in Japan, but as far as I know, it is because a specific bundle was overstated and one was understated. Since we are one the topic of bundles, those missing 100k could also be from bundled Wiis. Capcom might have counted those or something and VGC/Famitsu didn't. this is my 1st time witnessing a wii game do this good, and I know somebody whose still getting it once they find the bundle deal also plus wii sales are going to go up again with the improved black wii that I think is battery powered and now comes with wiisports resort, wii motion plus and 25% off a pre order if you buy a wii so hopefully that helps alot and probably will but I think the deal only goes on for, 4more days................ I can comment on the quality of Nintendos efforts in Europe (keep in mind that this is the company that won dozens of awards for marketing), but Capcoms efforts werent bad. I was right for America, I was just 5k away Anyway I think this game will stablelize in 10k to 15k in America Europe always has the best legs. Capcom dropped the tv ads in America several weeks ago. There was very little commersial advertising pre-launch, then solid support for the week or so of launch, then nothing. I still think that 3rd partries, in orer to tap into the mainstream Wii market in America, need to use heavy TV ads, as that media is the most common amoung "nongamers". Message | Report |

This is definitely one of the best Wii games out there. It is also one of the most deep games this gen that I have played. You got to remember that Others is usually land-of-the-casual for Wii games. If those Others figures are correct I'd say amazing numbers. Most "core" 3rd party wii games sell awful in others and are saved from total fail by America. Message | Report |

@guiduc - it released on the same day as all other Wii games in EU, so regardless of the numbers next week, having sold "one day" would not be the reason. @Buzzi - if i had to chose between oni-link's and your numbers, I would go with his, as this is the type of game that, Wii or no Wii, is more front loaded. hmm...I expect it to be a bit undertracked in the Americas. It is litterally sold out in most areas and even amazon was out of this for a while. I'm still sticking with my 140K for it's FW sales and 160K for the month. I guess we will have to wait until NPD releases their numbers which VGC should be higher because it takes into account Canada, Mexico, and other retailers that NPD doesn't take into account. due to this we will probably get more RPG's especially the ones that have only came out in japan witch will help plus we'll probably see more commercial to other games that come out witch will help alot and maybe some 3rd party experiments like a fps or so but this game will probably at least open things up a little with a few more games........... it already outsold every monster hunter game in the usa on psp week 1, I never seen the ps2 sales though but I bet it beat the ps2 versions as well, it doubled psp's mh games total week 1 vs psp life time in america so capcom I know for sure is happy about this and in other countries the difference is even bigger and I wouldn't be surprised to see another jump because I couldn't find the controller pro deal and plus I got my copy at target witch was the last copy and again as far as I know this is the most success a mh game has had outside of japan.................. I wouldnt base the entire game off the demo. I played and loved the demo, hence i pre-oredered the game, but i hear there are all sorts of additional elements to the game that simply arent present in the demo. Crafting weapons and items, a bunch of more monsters, online play and the excluive types of quests available online, and of course all the other envorinments. Message | Report |

I would say this game has a shot at having a 1 million opening week (when combined with the Japanese release). Americas preorders will reach 80-90k prior to release with the opening week around 125k. With the current preorders it looks to track in at 70K to 80K in week one. However it still has 4 more weeks to go so maybe it could get a bump and get a week one release of 100-110K which would make it one of the best 3rd party release on the Wii in a looong time. Capcom say that they have already shipped 1.1 millions only in Japan, so a new shipment of 100.000 units have been done after the initial 1million one. They must be VERY happy. Message | Report |

@SlayerRondo It very well could, I plan to pick it up and already had it on the Wii. Coming out early on the Wii U with little competition should help it, plus the 3DS cross play which I think a lot of people will find intriguing. Message | Report |
