This game is going to pass Persona Q very soon. Hope the holydays are kind to it.

@KyleeStrutt The retail release of this game has been minimal if it has happened at all. For all I know this is a digital only in Europe.

Wonder if they'll remember to add Europe's numbers.

Thinking about it, it's fucking ridiculous that we got physical Soul Hackers in the EU but not SMTIV :(

Digital only for us Euro-plebs, but better than nothing I guess. One of the biggest titles that's got me wanting a 3DS, along with Soul Hackers, seems to have done pretty damn well for itself saleswise as well

It's nice to see Persona's huge success feed back into the different parts of the overall SMT series, with digital this is probably as near as makes no difference at 500k without Europe. Given that Golden has now probably sold over 800k on Vita alone and is just an enhanced remake, I don't think it's unrealistic for Persona 5 to hit 1million units LTD given the IP's recent expansion. That probably makes it tied with Tales of, so the only JPRG series which are bigger are Pokemon, FF and DQ (If you don't count the Souls games).

Since August, this game has become the #5 entry in series history worldwide. Best-selling non-Persona SMT game in North America and better sales than Nocturne in Japan. When this actually is released in Europe, sales will likely be pushed over half a million total.

The EU release date for SMT IV, has been pushed to 2014. So I don't know where VGchartz is getting their numbers from.

AS far as I can tell. most Europeans don't seem to think it has launched there. Is it a fluke or did the publisher really only to sell to literally one store?

Right now tied at 5th alongside the Saturn version of Devil Summuner and with its predecessor SMT III: Nocturne. Don't know all that went into promotion or what it cost for that $30 e-credit promotion with Club Nintendo but I'd say this has done pretty well compared to past games outside of the wildly popular Persona sub series.

8th Best Selling SMT game of any type. #3 non-Persona entry in Japan. Already about on par with Strange Journey in North America. All without a European release. This game has a shot at half a million sales eventually.

nice 1st week sales !

Opening week is almost 5 times that of Strange Journey in the US. This can easily become the best-selling non-Persona game in the series in the US. It can also become the best selling game in series history in America, but that remains to be seen.

Pathetic legs. At least the Japanese launch was strong. Here's hoping that the American $30 FE promotion helps it sell at least 100,000.

Very good sales in Japan. Hopefully the big price tag doesn't hurt its Western sales as Atlus could use a good showing with this one.

Holy crap. This looks like it'll pass Nocturne in Japan easily. It'll definitely give Persona a run for its money.
