The only reasons why 3DS beats the Vita in the 8th gen of video games because not only for Monster Hunter in Japan, but better huge selections of games like Pokémon X/Y, more JRPG games like Bravely Default, Fire Emblem: Awakening and many more!! The sales is better on the 3DS in Japan: 15.31M compare to PS Vita: 2.64M (in total: 43.50M on the 3DS compare to PS Vita is 7.76M). The sales is as of March 28, 2014, but it's going to increase the hardware sales at anytime. Message | Report |

Atill at #39, but it looks like Pokemon X/Y will overtake this next week. This means, even though this will top the original DKC and apparently reach #38, it will immediately be knocked down to #39 by Pokemon. Oh well. This should still reach the mid-30's by the end of the year. Message | Report |

#40 of all time in Japan, beating Dragon Quest 5 and Final Fantasy 9 and 10. Also, I think its about the #10 3rd party game of all time in the country, beaten only by a couple of its predecessors, Dragon Quest titles, and a couple of Final Fantasy games. Capcom has been shifted from "endangered" to "threatened" in my book, thanks to this one game. Message | Report |

Moving major units in Japan. 284k 3DS' moved in the first week, 168k in the second week. 3DS is putting up holiday numbers in September. And with Pokemon X/Y coming out shortly, those 160-280k sales weeks are going to continue. The first 3D Pokemon game, following Monster Hunter 4? @piggychan, I believe Capcom is happy with MH3 sales on Wii in NA and Europe. They will ship this game to Europe and NA. It would be foolish otherwise. MH fanbase has grown in NA and Europe. Message | Report |

this will be big but i doubt it will be the best selling MonHun, i mean when your competing with the likes of Mario, Pokemon, Dragon Quest etc. it wont be easy. On the PSP it was a must own, otherwise you would just have a portable emulator Message | Report |
