Europe buys pretty much the same as the US buys with some rare exceptions. European buy less software though. Thats why you generally see lower sales. Message | Report |

this game deserves to sell at least as good as Ni no Kuni (actually deserves to sell better) it's imo better than Vesperia (better overwolrd and "outer area" exploring and item searching/colleting, better characters and character constelations, ect....), of the big name (and "group") J-RPGs, it's one of the best so far.. (only Xenoblade being better..., Xillia does not have to hide from the latestest FF's, DQ's ect. that came to the west) just hope Xillia 2 will be as good (and sell as good too)..., maybe one day, Nintendo & Bandai/Namco will bring out their top J-RPGs sooner to the west... I can say with 100% certainty that what the previous poster said is not the case. The only countries that are arsy about language are Spain, Fance and germany and really they should fall in place with everyone else. English is alot more enjoyable. When the games are translated to local languages they lose alot of the appeal and often sound dumb. Also this was the biggest opening of a Tales game i europe. It was a sucess. They usually have pretty good legs aswell. Message | Report |

Europe as everyone knows is not an English speaking country here we are used to read subs compare to US what I'm trying to say? that European people appreciate much more the original language in movies/games/anime etc, we read subs anyway even when the game is in English because for most of us who English is not our mother tongue is much easier to understand by reading compared to hear, so if u wonder why Xillia sales sucks in EU one of the reason is the absense of the original voice overs, yep for us here that's something that matters very much, I understand that most Americans prefer the dub but guess what we don't want all the same things. Tales of Xillia is my favorite PS3 RPG hands down, loving every minute of it. I hope it sells good enough here and will make Bamco happy, so they can bring us more Tales in the future. @Otakumegane wasn't received well, how come? from Wiki: Tales of Xillia was received positively in Japan. Banco better release it here in the US! Graces f is about to hit 200k here so they should be satisfied with that and not to mention it hasnt released in europe. I think xillia can sell 250-300k in the US and around 150k+ in europe.. Message | Report |

So, what is it with Namco and Tales games? They almost never seem to bring Tales games to the west, nearly always handing the global releases to other publishers: Atari, Ubisoft, Nintendo. 90% of Namco published Tales titles are Japan only. Still I guess if they don't see much profit from publication outside Japan why do it? Ironic therefore that Namco chose to be the publisher of Demon's Souls, not one of their own IPs, in Europe, a game that was never going to be released in Europe by either the Japan publisher or the USA Publisher. Ppl are drooling for this game on the West and Banco dont localize it, instead theyll bring Graces wich isnt a particularly strong entry on the series, game wont get amazing reviews wont sell too well (itll sell well but Banco expects it to sell like 1 million on USA alone theyre crazy) and theyll use it as an excuse for not localizing Xillia.
