As a fan of the series, I quite like it despite not having all Suikoden game features, like strategic battles and one-on-one. It's simply enjoyable as a DS RPG and gives you a full experiance even if it's a handheld game. Some people could consider it as a Suikoden "lite". I just hope they make VI sometime soon. :) Oh and I've got to praise the beautiful graphics and remarkable music. It's delightful! Message \| Report

I wonder how games like this would sell if it actually had retail presence. Every single target/walmart seems to consist of nintendo/licensed/pre-teen girl (imagine, petz, princess, etc.) games. As well as your occasional Square Enix game and a few others. As for the game, I'm enjoying it. It seems a little too easy, and the voice acting is kind of bad. Plus the main character seems to talk way too fast. But it has some beautiful environments, and the game is fun. Message \| Report

If you like JRPG's this is one of the best made for the DS. And in the traditional style probably the best JRPG for the DS. The voice acting is spotty in quality for sure, but as long as you go in expecting something at the level of a Nickelodeon cartoon it's all right and definitely grows on you over time. I've noticed a lot of the people who complain about the game have beaten it by the level of details they give so that alone shows the effort put into this. A good addition to the DS library for sure.
