Trade Nazis with Russians and put it in t he 80s and this would be fucking awesome... or Freedom Fighters... either way the reason I got this was because it reminded me of Freedom Fighters... it seems to have sold more units  Message | Report |

Okay... I just finished this game today on "normal", and I'm sure I'll go back and beat it again sometime in the near future on a more difficult setting, but I'm going to let this one rest for a bit before I tackle it again. Overall, it's a solid FPS with an interesting premise, but no real story attached. You're fighting Nazi's in New York, Washington D.C., and England through three big "levels". It's a good game and kinda buggy, but about halfway through playing this game I thought about it (the history, story, premise, and game itself). I thought what would fighting in a war during that timeperiod be like? (The game is set in 1953 BTW). In that time, the weapons would be "old school" and jam up and stuff. After thinking about it (and REALLY wanting to get into this game and not being bummed that it wasn't as polished and lacking a "story"), I actually got into the game more and got sucked in. I did have this game freeze up on me twice during the big zeppelin battle near the end. It's no COD4, but if you forgive some minor issues, this is a fun game. Overall I tried to play through with a less critcal mind and enjoyed it. I'd give this game a 7 out of 10. It's solid, interesting, the environmental kills are awesome (I threw a nazi into a crematorium oven and he burned alive!!!), the music soundtrack is awesome, and overall this game is very enjoyable and a decent challenge. Even on the "normal" difficulty setting, there were times where I had to re-think and approach certain situations and attack strategies. It's a great FPS, but def NOT worth $60. Trade for it, buy it used, or wait until it comes down to $30-40. If you like WWII shooters, go ahead and buy it if you need your fix now and can't wait, but don't pay $60 or get the deluxe edition. It's a great game if you're forgiving and remember to put yourself in that time period and love FPS's. Play it as a gamer and not a critic... Message | Report |

What a terrible game... Such a brilliant story but terrible gameplay and graphics. Very glitchy, but the environmental kills are kind of cool... 5.5/10 Message | Report |
