Momotaro Dentetsu - Summary

Momotaro Dentetsu is a long-running series of Japanese-exclusive board game-based video games.

The series was owned by Hudson Soft until 2012, when it was sold to Konami. This resulted in a lengthy gap between releases for what had up until that point been an annual franchise (from February 2012 onwards Konami made no use of the licence).

It was only thanks to Nintendo purchasing the rights for an unspecified period of time that the series finally returned:
