First-party PlayStation developer Bend Studio hasn't released a game since 2019's Days Gone. The team was working on a live service game until it was cancelled in January 2025 and would see 30 percent of its staff laid off in June 2025.
MP1st speaking with multiple people that wished to remain anonymous claim Bend Studio will be unveiling its next game sometime in 2027 and is also aiming to release the title in 2027 as it is "much further along in development" than what people might think.
The unannounced game will be in third-person and feature cooperative support. However, it won't be a live service title. The sources didn't state if this is a new IP, however, MP1st says it won't be Days Gone 2.
