Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja have announced Dead or Alive 6 Last Round for the PlayStation 5Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It will launch on June 25 for $39.99 / £32.99 / €39.99 / ¥6,380.

A new entry in the Dead or Alive series was also announced to be in development. This is in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the release of the original game in the series, which launched for arcades in Japan in November 1996.

Dead or Alive 6 Last Round is the definitive version of Dead or Alive 6, a title that shipped over 900,000 copies worldwide, with over eight million downloads of the free-to-play edition. Last Round features the original 24 characters alongside five characters from the game’s downloadable content lineup, including Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki. In addition, popular characters like Kasumi and Marie Rose will receive a total of five costumes based on other Team NINJA titles such as NINJA GAIDEN 3 Razor’s Edge and DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme Venus Vacation. An all-new Photo Mode feature has also been added enabling players to capture every angle of their favorite fighters in action thanks to a full set of features including character position and pose selection!

Dead or Alive 6 Last Round has been updated for the latest hardware, while giving players the ability to carry over downloadable content costumes, premium tickets, and save data from theDead or Alive 6 standard edition.

The free-to-play version, Dead or Alive 6 Last Round Core Fighters, is scheduled to release simultaneously alongside the standard edition. Kasumi, Marie Rose, Honoka, and NiCO will be available for use in the F2P version at launch. Photo Mode and online modes DOA Quest and DOA Central will also be playable.

Further updates, including new costumes and new characters are scheduled to be released post-launch across both the standard and free-to-play versions throughout the coming year. More details will be announced in the near future.

I've tried all of them, put a decent amount of time into 5 on Vita and PS4 and played some of 6. I know 6 is panned compared to a lot of the series.
7 has a lot of potential.

Hoping for a new era of 3-D fighting games with Virtua Fighter 6 and this game, after so long of a period where Tekken was pretty much the only game in town. Bandai Namco needs the competition, especially as they figure out how to guide Tekken in a post-Harada era.

Yeah, I want SoulCalibur VII but Tekken is way more popular so Bandai Namco is slow to make another one.
I don't see SC coming out before 2028 because if it's in development it's probably still going to take a while.
