Life and Farming Sim Starsand Island Launches in Early 2026 for Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series, and PC - News

Developer Seed Lab announced the Anime-inspired life and farming simulation game, Starsand Island, will launch for the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store in early 2026.
“Bringing Starsand Island to Nintendo Switch 2 has been a longstanding goal for us; the life-sim genre has a natural home on Nintendo consoles," said Seed Lab creative director Richardo Wang. "Even before it was announced nearly a year ago, we knew—and wanted—our game to be on Nintendo’s next-generation platform. Starsand Island transports players to a simple, pastoral life, and we think that should be available whether they’re at home, commuting to and from work, or taking a break."
The Switch 2 version will offer a Quality Mode that targets 45 frames per second and 1080p resolution, and a Performance Mode that targets 60 frames per second and 1080p resolution. It also supports Game Chat during online play and mouse control functionality.
