Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Sales Top 500,000 Units - Sales

Publisher Kepler Interactive and developer Sandfall Interactive have announced the turn-based RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has sold over 500,000 units.

"A milestone for us, reached sooner than we'd ever imagined," said the developers. "Thank you all."

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and Xbox Game Pass on April 24.

This one looks good, but there are just too many things for me to play, atm.

I haven't played either yet, but my first impression is that this looks more Final Fantasy than the most recent Final Fantasy game (XVI).

Someone probably took it as dumping on FFXVI and downvoted because of that. Admittedly I'm not exactly fond of the direction Final Fantasy has taken as a series, but I'm still looking forward to playing FFXVI at some point.

If looking for a good RPG. 16 is practically not even one. A shallow button mash for an action game as well. Horribly written female characters and a tone deaf take on slavery.

I think I have reasonably realistic expectations of the game. It was clear to me from the beginning that the game would be quite action-focused, at which point the RPG mechanics don't particularly matter to me.

Basically I'm looking for a bit of that Final Fantasy 'magic' in the game and not necessarily so much an RPG, and judging by the trailers, I can get that Final Fantasy magic in XVI - just not sure how much. XV was certainly a bit lacking in this regard, even though it did have its moments, but I'm getting better vibes on that front in XVI.

i gave it couple hours on gamepass (series x) to see if i would like it then paid for it on PlayStation for my Pro turns out the about pro enhanced is a lie because looks the same but i still dont mind paying to support the developer
