Bethesda in a newly posted Fallout 76 video that provides details on the World Pets update, which launches December 1, announced the game has surpassed 25 million players.

"A huge thank you to the 25 million Vault dwellers who overindulged and overslept, leaving the cozy confines of their Vault 76 apartment to step out into the wild wastelands of Appalachia," said Bethesda creative director Jon Rush.

This figure is up from 23 million players as of June 2025, 21 million as of November 2024, 20 million as of Ma 2024, 17 million as of December 2023, 15 million as of June 2023, 13 million as of October 2022, 12 million as of April 2022, and 11 million as of November 2021.

Fallout 76 released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in November 2018, and for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in September 2026.

Amazing turn around the game has had. I remember launch was rough, and the game was a buggy mess. Now it has dedicated fans that love it, and alot of players still. I would have prefered they did a stand alone game instead of all that time and effort but... I can respect they kept at it and improved it.
