September 2022 Xbox Games with Gold Announced - News

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Live Games with Gold for September 2022. Two Xbox One games, one Xbox 360 game, and one original Xbox game will be free to download next month.

Here is the list of Games with Gold:

Gods Will Fall ($14.99 ERP): Available September 1 to 30
Double Kick Heroes ($21.99 ERP): Available September 16 to October 15
Thrillville ($9.99 ERP): Available September 1 to 15
Portal 2 ($19.99 ERP): Available September 16 to 30

Gods Will Fall

Thrillville

Summer doesn’t have to ever end when you get to build your amusement park. You get to do everything from design roller coasters to go-carts, play mini-golf on your own courses, and join friends for party games. Make sure to check in with the guests to ensure they are loving your theme park as much as you are, and make adjustments to keep them happy! It’s non-stop fun in the virtual sun!

Portal 2

One of the all-time classics is available for you to teleport into problem-solving mode. Use your wits over weapons in this sci-fi puzzler. In addition to portals, use tractor beams, lasers, light bridges, and more. With humorous new characters voiced by the likes of Stephen Merchant and J.K. Simmons, the story and humor is as much a joy as the problem-solving. Play single -player or co-op to start bending the rules of physics.

Portal 2 makes this month worthwhile. I played Double Kick Heroes when it was on Game Pass. I got bored of it fairly quickly.

The answer is no, they recently gave away the Xbox 360 version of Thrillville 2 (AKA "Thrillville: Off The Rails). This is Thrillville 1.

Portal 2 is garbage? I think this is their strongest month in a long time, actually. I've been interested to try Double Kick Heroes for a long time, and I don't know how you can go wrong with something like Thrillville if you're into that genre. Gods Will Fall is the only one that's a question mark for me.

This month it's old yes, crap no, IMO. I wouldn't expect it to be newer, neither the XBL Gold nor the PS+ games have usually been newer, they've both usually been older.

I finally got around to trying it last Christmas and it was one of the best games I played in 2021 and far better than many I tried that released that year.
