Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann Promoted to Co-President - News

Naughty Dog announced vice president Neil Druckmann has been promoted to co-president alongside current president Evan Wells.
Studio director of operations Alison Mori and co-director of programming Christian Gyrling have also been promoted to co-vice presidents.

As we close out a year that has seen its challenges as we all live through a global pandemic, there have been bright moments too. One exciting moment for Naughty Dog was the long-anticipated release of The Last of Us Part II in June. Another moment comes today as we wanted to share some other terrific news about the studio.
At an all-studio meeting today, we announced some well-deserved promotions:
Neil Druckmann now joins me as Co-President of Naughty Dog, after serving almost three years as Vice President. In addition, we’re welcoming Alison Mori and Christian Gyrling as Vice Presidents of Naughty Dog. Prior to becoming Vice President, Alison served as our Director of Operations and Christian served as our Co-Director of Programming.
We have such an incredible team at Naughty Dog and being able to work alongside each and every one of them is especially meaningful these days. I feel proud of the team when I’m able to recognize their accomplishments and contributions to the studio. Please join me in giving them all a big congratulations!

haha the haters can't get a break. The games sells well, it receives great reviews, is awarded multiple times and now the creator is getting promoted. Oh my dat butthurt.
Yupp... it's a promotion he well deserved. Sure, I hope that ND manages to figure out the issues they are having from crunch, but Neil is one talented dude.
Well deserved promotion. Great thing is he confirmed he’ll continue his role as writer and director. Pathological haters won’t be happy about that, but hey, what do they know...

he was promoted to co president back in july, i read this already. Unless i somehow i went through a parallel universe without knowing , but i defintely read about this before.

And yes, ND is doing way better since Amy and Bruce left, Way better.
Congratulations, let's see the changes this will bring to ND.
One may not like him or loves previous people from ND, but considering the studio have only improved in sales then it is bizarre to pretend he will destroy ND. If that happens afterwards fair game to call him out, but this fear mongering is pointless.
