Electronic Arts has released its financial results for the fourth fiscal quarter, which ended on March 31, 2017.

"Fiscal 2017 was a milestone year for Electronic Arts, defined by groundbreaking games and live services that delivered more fun and connected more players with their friends," said Chief Executive Officer Andrew Wilson. "In Fiscal 2018, we are focused on innovating for our players with extraordinary new experiences across our portfolio, continuing to grow our global network, and extending our reach across new platforms and more ways to play."

Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen, added, "We generated record net sales and operating cash flow in fiscal 2017, driven by our ongoing transition to digital as well as our increasing success with live services. Our long-term vision, to leverage deep player engagement to drive growth and profitability, is enabling us to execute on our near-term financial goals to increase revenue, earnings and cash generation."

Electronic Arts was the number one publisher on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the west for fiscal year 2017, according to available sources and EA estimates.

As much as EA deserves criticism for its many blunders, they make some really fun, addicting shooters. BF1 was one of my favorite games last year, and I stuck with it for a while thanks to its spectacle and relative simplicity. Super stoked to see if DICE actually improves on Battlefront this year, as I still feel like the core of the first game was very fun, even if the package was light on features and depth. Lot of room to grow this time.

I liked Battlefield 1, I've stopped playing as I had other things to play but will go back soon a bit, before Tekken comes out. However, one of their updates added some odd things to the game which affected the gameplay, blood splatter, lighting effect and such alike meaning the experience was different and affected my enjoyment. Wish these companies wouldn't change things like that, there's nothing wrong with it. BO3 changed once where the lighting on one map completely changed, it was weird and I saw no reason to change it.
